Garroth hadn't even heard the car rushing up behind them until after Dante pushed he, Laurence, and Travis out of the way. The three hit the ground rather hard, all getting bruised and scraped up, but nothing compared to what happened to Dante. Garroth still didn't understand what exactly had happened until there was the sound of glass shattering behind them, which seemed to be the only sound that existed in the entire world. It was that snapped Garroth back to reality and the three friends whipped around to see what happened.

The car, a black grand-prix slapped on the breaks, leaving the damage already done. Dante was on the road, laying on his back lifelessly, the only sign he was even still alive being his left hand scrunching into a fist.

"Dante!" Garroth yelled, running to his side, touching his friends chest fearfully. He was in bad shape, his right leg twisted at an angle it should be able to achieve, his right arm ripped all to shreds with pieces of glass embedded in the flesh. To make the situation worse his head was bleeding and his eyes were closed. "Dante!"

Garroth gently put his hand on his chest, close to his neck to make sure that if he did wake up he didn't turn his head. Any major movement could end badly for the older friend. This touch caused Dante's eyes to slowly open. They seemed a big blurry and he struggled to focus on Garroth's face. Garroth gasped, turning to tell Laurence to call for help, but the brunette was already on it, tears on the verge of spilling over from icy blue eyes as he talked with Dispatch.

Garroth then turned to Travis who had the driver of the car, Gene, by the front of his shirt.

"What the hell did you do?!"

"I didn't mean to! I was trying to-."

"I don't care what you were trying to do!" Travis said, more angry than Garroth had ever seen him. "You hit your brother!"

Garroth turned back to Dante who still seemed confused about the entire situation, and his eyes were closing. That alone was a bad sign. "Dante! Dante look at me." He said, forcing back his own tears.

Dante glared, clearly trying harder to focus on Garroth's face. He opened his mouth and could hardly make a sound before he coughed, making Garroth feel sick when blood came out, streaking down from his mouth. He could hear the scirens now, Garroth had to hang in there! Help was almost there.

"C-c-call Nic-cole." He struggled.

"I will, but we're going to get you to the hospital first. Okay?" He said, but got no answer from Dante who's eyes had drifted shut again. "Dante? Dante?! Dante!" He yelled, looking at Laurence and Travis again before looking at the ground around Dante. His arm was bleeding a lot. "Dante! Dante wake up! You have to wake up! Dante!"

The ambulance pulled up next to him, with two cop cars following. Travis pushed Gene down before going to his friends, knowing that the cops would be able to take it from there. A parametric ran over, eyes wide at the damage.

"Back up." One said, pulling Garroth away while the second one forced Dante's eyes open, shinning a flashlight in it.

"What's his name?" The second asked.

"D-Dante." Garroth said, the knees of his jeans bloody.

"Does he have any family?" Asked the first, both working on their friend now.

"Only the asshole who ran him down!" Travis snarled, now only being held back by Laurence and the cops who had been looking after Gene.

"W-w-we're his roommates." Laurence said, not being able to take his eyes off the blood on the ground.

"Okay." The second said, both working together to put Dante on a stretcher. "One of you guys come with us, the rest of you stay here to talk to the police."

"Laurence, you go." Garroth said, "I don't want you anywhere near Gene."

Laurence sucked in a breath, "R-r-r-right... O-okay."

After a moment of hesitation Laurence walked over to the ambulance, then climbed in after Dante was safely inside. Then, as fast as it happened, the ambulance gone, only the sirens reminding Garroth what had just happened.

Now all Garroth could do was answer the questions the Police Officer asked him, and hoped that his friend survived.
