"I can't do thif... I just can't!" Garroth said, holding his stomach as more and more pain filled him. He was on the verge of a panic attack, and even with Laurence and Aphmau by his side he felt like he was going to hyperventilate.

"Garroth, you have to breathe." Aphmau said, rubbing his back as the three of them sat in the waiting room for the dentist to call them back.

She had volunteered to join the two boys after finding out what had happened the day before. She hoped to help him feel better about it and while it helped during the bus ride though sitting in the waiting room was a different story altogether.

The smell of the medicine was making his head spin, the fear made tears prick in the corner of his eyes, and the pure anxiety of the situation made his stomach twist up.

"I can't... I can't... Pleath, is it dat bad? I dun mind havin' a lisps! I really dunt!"

Aphmau gave a soft smile, "As cute as it is, Garroth, you sound like a little kid."

Garroth looked at his thighs. He honestly didn't like the lisp but the thought of sitting on the cold leather table with latex fingers touching around in his mouth made the lisp seem like the better option. The pure stress of everything finally took effect as a tear finally pushed from his eyes and streaked down his face. He tried to wipe it away but it was noticed by his two friends.

"Pleath, dun make me do dis." He sniffled. "Pleath... I can't..."

Laurence and Aphmau looked at each other. "Laurence..." Aphmau said, clearly beginning to give into the blondes fear.

"No." Laurence took Garroth's face, making him look him in the eye. "Garroth, I promised I wouldn't leave you. I'll be there the entire time. We both will, alright? We can even hold your hands if you want."

Normally Garroth would have turned that down simply because of the embarrassment but at the moment he felt that would be the best option for him. Garroth sniffled, giving a nod. "F-fine... I'll try."

"Good. I-if you do well... then we can try and face one of my fears next... a-alright?" Laurence gulped, sounding nervous now too.

"D-deal."

Two hours later Garroth's tooth was fixed and thanks to the laughing gas he had been given, he was more than a little loopy. Garroth sat on the couch, tears streaking his face though the confusion that was also on his face made both Laurence and Aphmau suspect he didn't really know why he was crying anymore. He touched his mouth, pulling it away quickly with a whimper and a loud sob.

"I hurts~."

Laurence frowned, grabbing a cold washcloth and dabbing it on Garroth's bottom lip. "I know, Garroth. It'll feel better tomorrow, I promise."

Aphmau frowned, "I'm going to go home and make sure Kawaii-Chan and Katelyn didn't kill each other. Don't be afraid to call me if you guys need anything, alright?"

"I think we have it under control, Dante and Travis will be home with ice cream and soup here in a little while. But... thanks for the offer."

Aphmau kissed the top of Garroths head. "Get feeling better, alright Garroth?"

"It hurts~." He whined in pain once again.

"Take care, you guys." She said, walking out, closing the door behind her.

"L-Laurence. W-why do you hate me?"

"What?" Laurence felt shocked to hear this question and guilt filled him. "I don't hate you!"

"T-then why did you m-make me go to that place!?"

"Because, Garroth. As cute as that lisp was it was hard to understand you... I like listening to you tell me stories but... I can't listen to your stories if I don't know what you're saying."

"S-so you don't hate me?"

"No! Not at all. Y-you're my best friend, Garroth..." Laurence said with a blush, "I-I could never ever hate you."

"Do you love me?"

Laurence blushed darker, his heart pounding. "O-of course I do... L-like I said, you're my best friend."

"No, I mean do you like me more than a friend?"

"I-I... I'm going to get you some blankets, why don't you lay down." Laurence scrambled to his feet, jogging down the hall towards Garroth's bedroom. He was on drugs, he wasn't right in the head, he didn't know what he was asking. H-he needed to just ignore it and just help his friend feel better.
