"Aphmau... are you sure you want to do this?" Aaron asked, "You're six months pregnant..."

"I know that, and you know that but I can't just leave knowing that Malachi is here all alone..." She said, sucking in a breath. All they had to do was ask Malachi how he felt about it then it would be the beginning of something special. At least that's what Aphmau thought and hoped it would be like. She was worried though that he wouldn't want to... "Okay, let's go ask him."

The two walked in the room, smiling more than a little, though they were both incredibly nervous. Dante was leaving the hospital the day after the next and deep down they felt that if Dante was no longer in the hospital they wouldn't be able to see the young boy. After a long discussion they decided that the only thing they could do to see the boy they had grown attached to was to give him a home.

They had the papers to Foster him and all they needed was to find out if he wanted to go home with them. If he did then he would be coming to live with them by the end of the week. After that it was only a matter of time before they adopted him and he became a full-time member of the family. Something which would be best for the boy.

Malachi looked up when the boy came in and Aphmau couldn't help but smile rather brightly at the look of excitement that came onto his face. "Aphmau! Aaron! Hi!" He said, holding a stuffed bear in his arms. "You came back today!"

"Of course." Aaron smiled, sitting on one side of the bad while Aphmau sat on the other.

"Malachi, we have a big question for you." Aphmau said, deciding it would be best to cut to the chase. "I want you to think about it really hard, and you can take as much time as you need to think about it, alright? There's no right or wrong answer and no matter what happens Aaron and I will always be your friends, alright?"

Malachi seemed nervous by all this and he slowly nodded, "O-okay?"

"Malachi, Aaron and I were talking and we were wondering if you would like to come live with us? We don't have much but we have enough. Our house has three bedrooms so you can either have your own room or share with the baby until your older, we have a pool and a yard you can play in. But, like I said, if you don't want to come with us then Aaron and I will come and visit you whenever we can, alright?"

Malachi looked at his hands, before looking towards the door which had nurses there looking curiously in. They all knew what was going on thanks to the fact that the Head Nurse and the Doctor were the ones who had to sign the papers for the fostering papers. After all, they were considered his 'legal guardians' thanks to Malachi's father giving up all rights to him. Now it was all up to the little boy in the hospital bed to decide what he was going to do.

"Also, if you're not sure you can always come live with us for a while and then decide whenever." Aaron said, and the boy seemed to relax.

"I-I get to choose."

"Of course you do." Aphmau smiled, "You're old enough to make your own choices, and we figure now would be the best time for you to decide."

Malachi thought for a moment longer. "Um... I think I would like to try living with you for a while." He admitted with a smile.

Aphmau felt her heart soar and a smile covered her face. "Well then, all you have to do." She put the Foster papers on a tray and handed it to him. "Is right your name on that line right there."

Malachi hesitated but nodded and gave a smile. "O-okay." He grabbed a pen, and with his left hand shakily wrote "Malachi Konstantine". Though it took him looking at the name typed under the line to figure out how his name was spelt. "What now?"

"Now, we help you pack up all your stuffed animals then we go to the store and help you pick out things for the house. New clothes, a bed and everything you want. Alright?"

"I-I-I'd like that a lot." Malachi said with a smile.
