Dante stood outside of Nicole's house, a blush dancing across his face as he waited for her to leave the house so the two could go on a date. He held a bundle of roses, a dozen of orange and red roses. He knew Nicole liked roses more than any other flower but he was afraid that for some reason she wouldn't want them. He didn't know why that was the first thing he always thought but he was more than a little afraid of losing Nicole. He loved her more than he had loved any other person he had ever been with.

He knew he didn't have the best record, especially after their first fling during high school when he had dated both Nicole and Kawaii-Chan at the same time. But now, now he only had eyes for the beautiful redhead. He knew Nicole was afraid of being hurt by him again and honestly he didn't blame her in the least for it. If he had been played like that he would be afraid of being hurt like that. Especially if he was dating the same person who had hurt him the first time around.

The door in front of him opened, causing him to violently jump out of his thoughts. The embarrassment of being caught in la-la land was soon replaced by a blush as he stared in a daze at the pure beauty of Nicole. She had replaced her tomboy outfit for a light orange dress that brushed her middle thigh and tied in the back behind her neck. It was simple yet beautiful on the girl, especially with her hair in a ponytail with braids going down the sides of it.

"W-wow." Dante said, the tie of his suit feeling uncomfortably tight. "N-Nicole you look great." He said, holding out the roses. "T-these are for you."

Nicole's face lit up. "Really? T-thank you, Dante! They're beautiful." She said, running her fingers gently across the pedals. "W-would you like to come inside while I put this in vase?"

"S-sure." Dante smiled, following her into the house.

Nicole walked into the kitchen getting a vase out of the cupboard above her sink and filling it with water. She then cut the bottoms off of the stem's at an angle before putting all the roses into the vase, and placing the vase on the kitchen table. "They really are beautiful, dante. Thank you so much."

"My pleasure. Shall we go to dinner, My Lady?"

Nicole giggled, a blush bringing out her stunning features. "Sure thing, sir." She teased, then the two, hand in hand, walked towards the cab Dante had rented.

"It's not the best thing, sorry. But it'll get us to dinner."

"Dante, you got us reservations at a fancy restaurant and bought me roses, a little taxi ride won't make me love you any less." She promised, kissing his cheek.
