~ Your POV ~
I stared blankly through the thick, dusty haze. The wind whipped the dust from the dirt road I stood upon. I couldn't see how far it stretched because of the storm. The land itself was also barren, nothing but dust and dirt. No trees, or grass, and most importantly; no people. I wasn't sure how I got here; the last thing I remember was getting into my bed back at HOMRA and then I woke up here, wearing the shorts and tank top I slept in.
"I need to get out of this wind." I thought out loud, and began trudging down the road in my bare feet.
A while later, I found a lone gas station, placed out in the middle of nowhere. There were a couple broken down cars, and the building itself was broken down and uncared for; you could tell by the rotted wood and all the broken windows. I glanced up the road again, but I couldn't see anything else, there probably wasn't another stop for a few miles. Without a second option, I begrudgingly headed inside the shack. I kicked open the door, surprisingly it remained on it's hinges, but they protested in anguish at the sudden intrusion. I looked inside; the shelves still had various food items on them, but the majority was missing, some knocked onto the floor and others probably stolen. I walked in, examining each aisle carefully for anything strange. I noticed something near the end of the fourth one; I cocked my head to the side and cautiously approached it. It looked like red dragged across the floor and the closer I got, I could clearly see that it was blood. I followed the trail, leading to a door, it was already opened a crack, and so I pushed it open, staying back a few steps in case a wild animal jumped out at me. A horrible rotten smell reached my nose and I covered it, trying not to puke. The lights were flickering in the background, illuminating the room just enough so that I could see; and what I saw, made tears well up in my eyes, my hands began to shake and my breath got stuck in my throat.
Each member of HOMRA was hung from the wooden planks of the ceiling; they all had large metal hooks pierced through their heads. Their faces displayed agony and their eyes were white. My blurred vision landed on the blood trail, it went under the mass of bodies and stopped somewhere in the back. I kept my head down, watching the tears slip off my face and I followed the trail. I brushed past the others, sobbing as I recognized small pieces of their clothing.
The trail suddenly stopped and I took a deep breath to brace myself, I hesitantly looked up and I felt my blood drain. My eyes clouded with fresh tears; my legs couldn't support me anymore and so I fell to my knees. Mikoto, was one of the victims, he hung lifeless, just like everyone else.
'My king' I thought hopelessly, 'my family... they're all gone."
"(Y-Y/N?)" I heard a shaky voice mutter. My head shot up and I looked around frantically; I knew that voice.
"Tatara?" I called back. "Tatara, where are you!" I stood up shakily and grabbed onto the wall.
"I'm right here." He said, I turned around and he stood there, smiling at me, perfectly unscathed.
"I'm so happy to see you." I sighed in relief. He opened his mouth to reply, but before he could speak, a metal hook pierced through his head, just like the others. Blood oozed out of his mouth, and his body fell limp.
He had no time to react to the injury. I felt my heart collapse; I couldn't take this anymore, my emotions crashed together and with all I had, I let out a blood-curdling scream.
"(Y/N)! Wake up!" I heard someone yell.
I shot up from my bed. Sweat ran down my forehead and my breathing was erratic. I looked around the room; I recognized every item, every shelf. I was back home. Yata sat beside me on my bed, his hair was messed up without his beanie and he was also wearing clothes to sleep in.
