~ Reader's POV ~

I stuck my head through a crack in the door, checking for teachers or students. When I saw the coast was clear, I slipped through and quietly shut the door behind me. I threw my bag down by the bleachers and hurried over to the piano, taking a seat on the leather bench. I had some time to kill after school and I wanted to practice a new piece I had been working on, it was called "Kiss of Death" by an unknown pianist; it had really caught my attention. I took a deep breath and placed my fingers lightly upon the keys, a smile crept upon my face and I began to play, I closed my eyes and let my fingers grace each note. Surprisingly I didn't get many wrong, it was peaceful to listen to and thrilling to play. Although I felt no one would ever hear me and I never wanted anyone to know. I was a tough silent kind of kid at my school; the piano would ruin my image. The melody fell into rhythm; I opened my eyes and peered out the large bay window, showing outside. It was a nice day I suppose, typical for summer, but I would much rather prefer to be inside. As I was looking around, I caught a glimpse of a shadow moving in the corner of my eye. My hands froze, causing the piano to make a very unpleasant sound as multiple keys were pressed down at once. The silhouettes moved into the light, there were three people and I recognized them as students from my class. Yata, Kosuke and Bando; they were also involved with a dangerous gang in this city, Homra.

"You're good." Kosuke smiled at me, I never found him to be that scary.

"Thank you," I replied, smiling back. "But um, how did you get in here?" I asked, running my hands over my thighs nervously.

"You were too focused on what you were playing, so we slipped through the door." Bando shrugged, leaning against the piano.

Yata leaned against the other side, "We have to talk to you." He said, his hazel orbs watching me closely.

I shifted around in my seat, "What's up?"

Why did they want to talk to me? Did I do something? I've only ever talked to them in class- and even then, it was only to borrow a pencil.

"Our boss says you're important to our clan, you know about us, don't you?" Kosuke said, standing in between the other two. He kept smiling; as if he was reassuring me that everything was fine. I mean, sure I was nervous, but scared? Never, not of them anyway.

"I do, you don't try to cover up your tattoos after all." I said, standing up and walking towards my backpack, so I could leave. Somebody grabbed onto me, stopping me in my tracks and tugging lightly on my shirt.

"We have to take you to Homra." Yata said. I picked up the bag and slung it around my shoulders.

"Okay." I responded, a slight grin on my face.

"No struggling then?" Bando asked, walking towards the door.

"No, should I?" I retorted, crossing my arms.

"Some people do." Yata scoffed, heading out the door. I rolled my eyes,

"Sorry, but I'm not really afraid of you. Gang or not, we have been in the same class since grade 5."

Kosuke laughed, "She has a point, Yata."

He clicked his tongue, "Whatever."

We walked through the corridors, and out the main exit. It had started to rain, I sighed and shoved one headphone in my ear, pressing play on my phone and quickly putting it in my pocket so it didn't get wet. We then began walking down the street towards the heart of downtown. Halfway there, Bando threw his arm around my shoulders, startling me from my musical trance.
