(A/N) This one is kind of short, but I felt like posting something tonight, so hope you enjoy! :)

~ Third Person POV ~

Anything can have a silver lining. A leaf on a tree, a cloud in the sky, the dreaded day of school or even an episode of your life that you thought was going terribly wrong. Well for the Silver King, that's exactly what happened.

The slates had been taken out of his control by JUNGLE, for so long had their power been suppressed by the Gold King, and now was it all for nothing? Even though he wouldn't admit it, his dreams had been forgotten long ago, he settled with the fact that this is all the slates would be, and that was okay, but he never considered the possible chaos that would erupt from it, not in this sort of situation anyways. Even though it was all over and done with, these thoughts still weighed heavily on his mind, and the shock of the whole ordeal still fresh in feeling, it was like ice water soaking into your bones. He needed advice from somebody, it was a few months after the incident and he wanted some kind of freedom.

That's probably why he found himself walking up to HOMRA's bar one day, seeing all the effort they put into the crisis, he thought it was only right that he paid his respects to the Red King and her clan, he hoped that nothing had changed since then and so, he pulled open the door and stepped inside.

~ Shiro's POV ~

I let the grand door click shut behind me; the ringing of the little bell caught the bartender's attention. He set down the glass he was cleaning and tossed the cloth onto on of the liquor shelves. There was nobody else in the bar, the evening sunlight shone in through the large bay windows, lighting up the dully-lit room. It gave off a clam vibe and I felt myself relax.

"Yashiro Isana, the Silver King... What can I do for you?" Izumo asked, motioning for me to take a seat in one of the fancy red barstools.

"I just wanted to stop by and finally thank you for helping me with the slates. I also wanted to speak with Anna if she was available."

Izumo smiled at me, and poured me a glass of water.

"You really don't need to thank us, I think our clan had fun with it after all."

I chuckled at his response, "Fun huh?"

"Sure, I haven't seen them so determined to finish something in a while, it's a good sign, I wouldn't want us to lose our edge, you know?"

I took a sip of my water, thinking about the fact that there were no more clans or kings, yet everyone seemed to keep calling each other by those names. It was like a tight bond that couldn't be broken, even if their spark was lost, which it literally had been.

"If you want to see Anna, she should be upstairs in her room. I'm sure she wouldn't mind a visitor." Izumo said, noticing my change in mood. I quickly planted a smile on my lips and thanked him before standing up and heading upstairs. I could hear laughter from different rooms I passed, some were occupied and some weren't. I guess they were very introverted in a way, never talking to other people, always staying together. It made me think of Kuroh and Neko and how lucky I was to have such a great clan as well.

I found Anna's room, she had a small nametag on the front of her door. I knocked on it gently, and soon after I heard footsteps padding over the wooden flooring, getting closer to me.

The door opened slightly and my amber eyes met a pair of crimson ones.

"Yashiro?" She questioned, opening the door wider and stepping aside, letting me in.

"Hello, I thought I'd stop by, I wanted to talk to you about some things." I said, smiling softly at her. I felt my eyes glaze over. She noticed this and sat down on her bed.

"Take a seat, tell me what's bothering you."

I sat down on the couch across from her, placing my hands in my lap and keeping my gaze locked on the floor.

"Ever since the incident with the slates, I've felt this weight on my shoulders, like it was mostly my fault. I created the slates and so it was I who caused this for everyone else."

Anna cocked her head to the side, watching me closely.

"Yashiro-"

"Please, call me Shiro."

"Okay Shiro, you have to put your thoughts to rest. Leave what happened in the past. You can't let it bother you now, not after everything you gained."

I looked up at her, she stared back intently, embedded in her eyes was sincerity.

"What have I gained?"

"You lost the power of the kings and clans, but those are materialistic things. What you gained was a stronger relationship among your friends. Going through something like that builds bonds and makes the knots tighter among the seams. You also found new friends, you made peace. The world doesn't understand true power yet anyhow."

Anna explained, pulling out one of her marbles and handing it over to me. I took it cautiously.

"Thank you, I think what you're saying makes sense and it helps clear my head a bit, I'll have to dwell on it a little longer though." I grinned at her.

"What's the marble for?" I looked into it, watching a sparkle arise as it caught a ray of light.

"When you feel the weight, look into it, it may remind you of what I said and hopefully that can help."

Anna stood up and headed towards the door, opening it for me.

"If you need anything else, you can always come back." She said.

I got up from the couch and headed out the door, I turned around to face her.

"Thank you for everything."

We exchanged smiles and I began to walk towards the staircase, leading out of the bar.

"Oh, and Shiro." I stopped and peered over my shoulder at her.

"Yes?"

"Remember, every bad situation has a silver lining, you just have to find it."
