~ Kosuke's POV ~

(A/N): This was also requested by @shadowgirl2531 ^~^

"Hey (Y/n)? I'm home!" I yelled from the entrance to our apartment. There was no reply, so I slipped off my outdoor shoes and put on some indoor slippers that were placed near the door.

"(Y/n)?" I called again.

I shifted the little kitten around in my arms gently. It let out a tiny 'mew' and cuddled into my sleeve. I smiled at it and headed into the living room. My girlfriend was seated upon our couch with her laptop perched on her lap, headphones were shoved in her ears, and so that explains why she couldn't hear me.

I walked over and stood in front of her, she saw something move and looked up with wide eyes, almost jumping out of her skin. She pulled the cord and the headphones slipped out of her ears.

"Kosuke! You scared me half to death!" She screeched. Placing the laptop on the ground and standing up, huffing dramatically and crossing her arms.

"Sorry." I chuckled sheepishly.

Her gaze fell to the fur ball in my arms, the bothered expression on her face melting almost instantly. The great thing about (Y/n) is she accepted my need to look after stray animals; she never turned any down and was happy to help clean them up. We actually had kept a cat we had found out on the street, she had a broken leg and was missing an eye, but we got her all fixed up and fell in love with her personality; we named her Akemi, which meant "bright beauty".

We also had a dog; we hadn't named him yet though.

"Where did you find this one?" She muttered, softly petting it's tiny head as it slept peacefully.

"Oh, it was in an alleyway I was walking by, I heard it meow and found her all dirtied and bleeding." I held up the little paw to show the wound.

(Y/n) sighed and took her from my hands.

"Let's clean her up then."

"So it's alright if she stays the night?"

"Of course!"

I grinned and hurried after (Y/n), quickly wrapping my arms around her waist and hugging her. She froze at the impact but then laughed lightly, turning around and kissing me on the cheek. I blushed, not able to contain the heat that rose to my cheeks, she was too sweet and caring, and most likely- that was the reason I fell in love with her in the first place.

She shot me a smile and walked down the hallway into the bathroom, after a few seconds, I heard the sink turn on and I went to help her.

...

After the kitten was all settled in, comfy on a plushy bed and wrapped in a small towel, it was around 11:30 at night. I didn't realize how late it got.

I pulled myself out of the warmth of my shower and got dressed. Maybe (Y/n) would want to watch a movie or something. I wiped some of the steam off the mirror and brushed my hair, sighing at the knots among the orange locks. I was having a mini battle with one of them in particular when I heard the familiar sound of our balcony door click shut.

I placed the brush down on the counter and stepped out of the bathroom, peeking out into the hallway.

There wasn't anybody there, so I continued on, padding softly on the tile floors towards the living room.

Through the glass panes I could make out the figure of a girl, she was leaning against the railing, the wind whipping her hair around her porcelain face as she stared out at the skyscrapers laced in city lights. She wore shorts and an oversized grey hoodie. She always liked to sleep that way.
