~ Reader's POV ~
"You called for me, captain?" I stood tall, my hands pressed against my sides and my gaze relaxed. The blue king, Reisi Munakata held a puzzle piece up to the light before rotating it and placing it in a missing spot upon the table. He propped his head up on his hand, finally looking up.
"Yes, I have a little mission for you," He smirked, "That is if you want it."
"I would, sir." I replied, loosening my posture as a cautious look crossed my face.
"I thought you would," Munakata picked up his PDA from beside him on the desk, gesturing for me to come closer and abandoning his puzzle for a moment.
I stepped across the royal blue carpet, leaving clean boot prints in the fabric. He held it up to me, scrolling through some images; I noticed every one of them was of Homra.
I recognized each member, and in every photo they seemed to be conversing rather angrily or even anxiously. There was one of Yata, who seemed to be yelling at Rikio, his so-called partner – nothing unusual there.
The next was of Eric and Kosuke who were speaking with Mikoto, who in this matter even seemed concerned about something.
The last one made my heart leap; it was the whole clan, in an odd formation, gathering around a person, no, escorting a person. Said person had their hands bound, but it was hidden with a jacket, their head was still held high and even though I couldn't see their face I knew who it was.
They were wearing a Scepter 4 uniform, and only one member had been missing from our ranks for a few days.
Fushimi Saruhiko.
So the reds had gotten their hands on him.
I growled, my hand clenching into a fist.
The one escorting him was Izumo Kusanagi, Suoh's second hand man, and the thing that made my blood boil was the fact that he was looking directly at the camera and smiling victoriously. He knew we were watching, and he just had to twist the knife that was already buried deep enough.
They knew Scepter 4 would fall apart without that kid, one of my comrades.
"Bastard." I thought angrily.
Munakata's smirk fell into a frown at my reaction.
"Ms. (L/n), I want you to sneak into Homra and re-take possession of Fushimi Saruhiko, is that clear?" His voice was steady and clear, capitalizing on his orders.
"Yes, sir. Crystal clear."
My eyes gleamed blue with the anger rushing through my veins. I couldn't rid my mind of Kusanagi's smug smirk, and it made the feeling of animosity in my stomach swell even greater.
Homra was to pay for their actions; they wouldn't get away with this.
I suppose I should explain what led us to stand here at this point in time. I am a blue clansman, I work for Scepter 4 and report to the blue king, Reisi Munakata. I am third in command next to Seri Awashima and Fushimi, two of my closet friends.
~ Two days earlier ~
It was mid-summer, the weather was hot and the sun beat down on the city sidewalks, making the people glow with smiles and the skyscrapers glisten in the light. Overall Shizume held a very special sparkle in this season.
Seri brushed her clean, blonde hair over one shoulder and crossed her legs, picking up her teacup and taking a sip.
It was our day off and my friends and I decided to hang out together for a while. Seri and I were at our favorite coffee shop, both lounging in one of their outside tables underneath a large and luxurious umbrella.
