~ Mikoto's POV ~

The day had faded grey, clouds billowed around the once blue sky and they blocked the sun. Small flakes of snow began to fall, floating gracefully through the sky before melting once they hit the warm pavement. I sighed, looking up at them, my breath showed in a white fog as the temperature began to drop. I stood on the sidewalk outside the bar, waiting patiently for the rest of HOMRA to get into position. We had a plan, if the Colorless king was really in there, he would be ready for us to just barge in and start an all out war, but I couldn't risk that just yet, a battle at this point in time was inevitable but maybe I could stall just a little longer and use the element of surprise on him. Anna stayed beside me; we agreed that it would be safest for her.

"We're all ready, Mikoto." Izumo's voice spoke through my phone.

"Then let's go." I answered, hanging up. I then squeezed the device tightly in my hand until it's screen cracked and the frame broke. I also burned it to make sure it was totaled. I let the ash slip through my fingers. The king could hack people through phones, so it was a good idea to get rid of them.

I heard a smash coming from the bar, small pieces of glass flew out in the open and smashed on the ground, soon after an explosion followed, blowing up that top half of the building. I sighed and ran my fingers through my messy red hair.

"I really didn't want to see this place burn." I mumbled to myself. I noticed Anna look at me, sympathy was written on her face.

"Me too." She said sadly. I headed towards the front door and pulled it open, keeping Anna behind me and scanning the area.
"It's clear down here, I guess the distraction worked." I told her. She nodded enthusiastically, "Is it my turn now?"

"Yeah." I pushed her towards the blueprint laid out on the bar. Since she was a strain, she could use her powers to track where the Colorless king was hiding. She jumped up onto a bar stool and pulled out her marbles, throwing them onto the blueprint that mapped out each room of the bar. I stood behind her, keeping an eye out in case he decided to attack us.

"Mikoto, he's in your room." Anna said, I glanced over her shoulder and saw her marbles circling around there. I stuck my hands in my jacket pockets and hurried up the staircase, I turned a corner and pushed open the door to my room; Eric, Bando and Masaomi were here already.

"Find anything?" I asked, startling them.

"No, he was here, but the bastard somehow slipped past all three of us." Masaomi said angrily, running his hand over his face in frustration.

"Anna said he was here, he couldn't have gotten past you." I replied, glaring at the three boys. They looked at me nervously,

"So... that means..." Bando started, looking at the other two.

"He's in one of us!" Masaomi finished, backing away from everybody else.

"Who is it?" I asked, my aura surrounding me.

Eric sighed, "This is harder than I thought it would be." He began to laugh and pulled out a knife. I acted quickly and shot a stream of fire at him, he laughed harder and jumped out of the way slipping out the window, stabbing Bando in the process.

"No!" Masaomi yelled, adding more fire to mine; but to no avail. A few other members of the clan joined me at the door.

"Someone go help Bando, the rest of you- we have to stop him." I said, running back down the stairs, I grabbed Anna and we ran out onto the street, heading towards where the king disappeared, the snow had begun to fall heavily now.

"When I get my hands on him I'm going to fucking tear him apart!" Yata yelled, skating beside me, red flames shot out from his skateboard and him.

"Calm down, I've had enough of this too." I said back, pulling Anna onto my shoulders.
