Mitch's POV
"Mitch? You there?" I heard someone from outside the door. I tried moving but the knives were too deep in the walls to allow me to move. I started grunting and squirming, hoping that person can hear me. I heard footsteps coming closer and closer to the door until it opened, revealing Avi. "Mitch!"
Avi ran to me and took the knives out, resulting in me dropping to the floor. I ripped the tape off my mouth, feeling a slight pain on my lips but I didn't mind it.
I got up and hugged Avi. He hugged back instantly, crying softly in my shoulder.
"I'm so glad your safe. I thought you were dead." He pulled away and looked at me with tears in his eyes.
"Well, technically, I am dead. You are, too." I joked. He laughed softly and hugged me again before heading out, gently pulling me with him.
We sneaked around a bit before finally getting caught. I guess those demon guards were too lazy to put us in different cells.
"Mitch, do you ever think we'll get out? I mean, Castiel can save us. He's an angel for crying out loud." Avi said, breaking the silence that was between us.
"I don't think so. This is Hell. You can only go in. Not out. Unless you're a demon, but I think that's hard too." I replied.
"Why can't we be demons?"
"I don't think you'll want to be one."
"Why?"
"You have to torture people in order to become one."
"Oh."
I'm surprised we haven't gone insane yet. We've been in here for weeks and most of the new people are already choosing to be demons to get out of here. The thing is, the King doesn't want them. He's targeting me.
Scott's POV
Scott? Scott? Scott?!
I shot up from my desk, resulting in me hitting my head on the cabinet above me.
Scott? You there?
"Yeah. Yeah. I'm here. What do you need?"
Okay, so I found a way to save Mitch and Avi, but it's too hard. Should I take the chance?
"Why're you asking me?"
I'm just...well...you know what? I'll just go. Oh, and by the way, I saw Alex walking towards your dad's house. He wants to come over. He'll be there in about two minutes.
"And why do you know that?"
Because I'm behind you. Looking out your window.
I looked behind me and saw Castiel waving at me. He was sitting on my bed with his body facing the window.
"Cas?! What have I told you about sneaking up on me like that?!" I yelled.
"You said I should warn you before doing so." He replied, looking down at his lap.
"Well, did you?"
"Yeah. I did say that I was behind."
I rolled my eyes and stood up. "Castiel, what're you doing here? I thought you were gonna go get Mitch and Avi?"
"I just wanted to say goodbye to you. This is a very dangerous mission and I might die from it. They doubled their security from the last time I did it."
"Wait, you've done this before? Why're you so hesitant in doing it again? You already know what to do?"
"Yes, I have done this before. And I'm so hesitant because it's been almost four years since the last time I've don't it."
"Who did you save?"
"Dean. You know, the one that almost killed you. Yeah, that one."
"Why'd you save him?"
"He had a future ahead of him. He had to finish what he started."
"That's not the full reason why."
He just left me. Didn't even answer my question.
I say back down on my chair and looked at the computer screen. It was off, but it was covered in sticky notes. I checked the time on my phone. 5:11am. Why would Alex want to come here this early in the morning?
I got up and jumped on my bed, enjoying the soft the fluffy covers. I started to fall asleep when I heard the door bell.
I walked out of my room and saw Dad walking out of his, too. He ran to the door and opened it. Alex was here.
"Hello Mr. Hoying. I'm sorry to bother you this early in the morning but I need to talk to Scott. After that, I'll be out of your hands for the rest of the morning." Alex said to Dad. Dad invited him in and Alex pulled me to my room.
"What?" I asked. I really didn't want to talk to him right now.
"Okay, Scott. Cut the crap. Why're you planning to get your 'friends' out?" Alex growled. What?
"What're you talking about?"
"I know what you're going to do. You're planning to deal with a demon. Why?"
"How do you know?"
"Your friend, Castiel told me. He wants me to stop you. Do you know how dangerous this is?!"
"Of course I know. I know it's risky, but I have to do this. Plus, I'll get ten years."
"And after that, you'll be in Hell. Scott, I don't want this to happen to you. Please, don't do this."
"Don't listen to what Castiel says. He lies, Alex."
"But he's an angel. Angels don't lie!"
"You haven't been around one to know. This is my life, my choice. Now if you'll excuse me, I need my beauty sleep."
I pushed Alex out of my room and locked my door. I can't do this right now.
