Scott's POV
"Mitch?! MITCH?! Damnit! Where are you?!" I yelled, frantically searching the empty apartment. We were all looking around for him, but he wasn't here. After about an hour, we met up in his living room. But, there was only three of us.
"Guys, where's Kirstie?" Kevin asked. Oh no.
"Cas, can you find Kirst?"
I'm sorry.
"We have to go. This place isn't safe." Avi said.
"But we have to find Mitch and Kirstie." My eyes started to water.
"Scott, we have to go before anyone else gets taken." Kevin grabbed my arm and led me to my car, taking the keys and driving away.
"You were supposed to look after us."
I'm sorry.
"Stop saying sorry! If you're really sorry, you'd be looking for them right now. Not talking to me."
I put my seatbelt on and looked out the window. I started to feel sleepy, but I kept pinching myself to keep myself awake. I looked in the rear view mirror and found an empty seat. Where's Avi?!
"Did we leave Avi at the house?" I asked Kevin.
"No, I took him with us. Why?" Kevin said, focusing on the road.
"Well, he isn't here right now."
Kevin practically stomped on the brake, making him and me shoot forward, our seat belts choking us.
He got out of the car and he paced back and forth. I just watched.
"We aren't safe anymore. From now on, we hold hands, or hand cuff our hands together. We are all we've got. I've got handcuffs right here and I'm keeping the key in a safe place. Here." He sat back in the car. Kevin put out his right wrist, showing the handcuffs. His wrist was already in one of them. I put my left one in the another one and he locked it.
"Kinky." I mumbled. Kevin glared at me before pulling his hand with the handcuff to the wheel, making me fall towards him. This will be an uncomfortable ride.
Three Hours Later
"Scott?"
"Scott??"
"Wake up!"
"We are here!"
I was awake. I just wanted to annoy Kevin for a bit. I thought Kevin had given up because it was quiet, but then I felt something wet in my ear.
"Ew! What the hell is wrong with you?!" I jumped up and almost hit him but my hand was cuffed to his. So I slapped his arm with the other.
"Okay. So, my family and I used to go to this cabin. This was when I was like, four. I barely remember this place. But I always remembered the route. This place is the safest place we got. You in?" Kevin explained. He held up a fist, expecting me to bump it. I did. "Good. Now how are we gonna get out of this car?"
After a lot of struggle and yelling, we finally got out. We walked up to the door and Kevin brought his key out and unlocked the door. It was dark in there so I couldn't really see anything.
We went inside and Kevin closed the door making it pitch black. I thought when Kevin would turn the lights on, it'll be like a big reveal that this cabin would be amazing. It wasn't. It was just an old, stinky cabin. But it's all we got. I'm thankful.
"How will we be able to do our...private business when we're handcuffed?" I asked Kevin.
"I guess we can't shower. But with number one and two, we stay in these handcuffs. I don't care how insecure you are because you're just gonna have to face your fear. That's what I'm doing with no showering."
I don't like this. I really hope we can find our friends before it's too late. Where are you, Mitch?
Awe. You miss him.
"Of course I do. And shouldn't you be tracking him?"
I am. And I'm close. So far, I found the state at where they're hiding. They're in California. I'm still looking for the city.
"California?! How will we get there?! We have no money!"
Then go back to being a thief. With your sneaking around skills and Kevin's knowledge, you guys can rob a bank in no time with no problem.
"Why can't you give us money?"
Because the Angels won't allow it.
"So they're encouraging us to steal? Isn't that.."
Yes. Yes, I know. But the Angels are mad at me and they won't allow me to go back to Earth. I can't help you. I'm sorry.
"I can't rob a bank! That's wrong!" Kevin yelled. He put his hands on his head and paced back and forth. I'm in an awkward position right now.
"Kevin, we're not robbing a bank. Maybe we can grab some expensive jewelry at some rich guy's house then sell it. It's not like we're robbing a bank. We're just breaking and entering." I explained. That made him stress out even more.
"It's still against the law! If we do that, then we're criminals! I've never been a criminal in my entire life! I'm friends with the police."
"As long as we don't get caught, we're not in trouble with the law. We just have to be careful. How about I'll do all the work and you can try not to leave any trace behind. Do exactly what I say."
Kevin breathing hard. He couldn't even produce any words.
"Kevin, we have no choice. This is our life now. But we're not in this alone. We're together on this. If we don't listen to each other, then our whole team falls apart. Do you understand?"
Kevin nodded and calmed his breathing. He sat down on the floor, bringing me with him.
"We'll find them, right?" Kevin asked.
"Of course we will. Even if the team is split up, we still have someone with us."
"Who did you have when you were here on earth and all of us were dead?"
"I had Cas. He was there for me. He looked out for me. Even if it seems like he's a dick, he really isn't. He's just trying to fit in with us, I guess."
Kevin nodded and pulled me towards the kitchen. "Can you cook?" He asked me. I shook my head. "What're we gonna eat, then?"
"How about we just grab some ingredients and just throw them in a pot and just hope it'll taste good?" I suggested.
"How about no. We can go to the store and get microwaveable food with bottled water. That way, it'll be cheap and we're still eating." He said. I nodded and we walked to the car. With more struggling, we both got in and Kevin drove off. I can't wait to introduce him into the "criminal" world.
Mitch's POV
Help.
Good job. You made everyone worry about you. Now Kirstie and Avi are with you in this messed up place. You always mess everything up.
I. Can't. Breathe.
Scott hates you. He wishes he's never met you. He loved you and you turned him down in the most cruel way.
GET OUT!
