4.a: A Crush On My Husband

Its 3 in the evening and I had finished unpacking all my clothes and had them arranged in the closet which was towards the left of the bed. I managed to get some space for my frames and books on the bookshelf. Once that was done, I had my lunch. Guess what I had? The last night's pizza which was untouched and placed inside the fridge. That means even he never had anything last night...

So another half and hour to go and Drake will be here to pick me up. I had a quick shower and decided to wear a pink floral-printed dress. The dress is a pretty simple piece with a little deep neckline. I decided to leave my hair free so I combed a little to remove all the tiny knots.

At 3:33, the door bell rings and I jump off the couch to open the door. I see Drake standing in front of me, expressionless. I still have no idea ,if he has forgiven me.

"Let's go." He said with a stern face.

"Oh wait!! Let me grab my purse!!" I replied. I carried a purse along with me which matched my dress.

We head to his car and drive off towards the grocery store. On our way,the silence in the car was driving me insane. So I tried to begin a conversation.

"I hate awkwardness." I stated.

"Oh!" He said. What? That's all?!

"I thought u would have a better reply."

"Oh!" He said that again!!

Okay,now I'm completely frustrated. This is it. I can't take it anymore. I turn towards him.

"You know what? You are such an annoying ass!!!" Saying that I turn away from him and started looking through the window.

I hear another 'oh' but I ignore that completely. Now its he, who takes the next move.

"Ass huh??" He smirks while asking me. "Well ,I think it's you who has the annoying ass which keeps distracting me." He is no where to what I tried to say.

Instantly my jaws drop hearing what he said. He winks at me. Such a perv.

"Kidding. Anyways, look I'm still not ready to talk to you. Taking you out for shopping grocery, doesn't count to me patching up with you. Since you have come along with me to live together, I think all those stuffs which you will be buying is necessary for your survival. I don't think you are a person who eats outside very often."

"Hey!! Stop it right there!! If you don't take me out for shopping, that doesn't mean I can't go out on my own. I saw your note this morning which said that you would accompany me. So I waited for you, so you could help me out with carrying all the bags ,you know. " I stick my tongue out at him while saying that.
He seems a bit amused by my kiddish behaviour.

"Hello!!I offered to accompany you only because I am scared ...you know...what if a 21 year old lady like you falls for some stranger and then that guy kidnaps you off. Your mom would literally burn me." Lame isn't it? But still my eyes widen.

"Do I look like I'm almost 21?!" I ask him wide- eyed, chucking everything else he spoke.

"Well, I mean if you're older than that,its fine. I just-" he stopped his sentence in mid-air and looked at me. I was pissed. Obviously.

"So ...umm....how old are you?" He asks in a curious tone. Wow,we don't even know our ages.

"I'm 18."

"Didn't know if- wait, what?!!" He stopped the car at the red light and looked at me.

"I'm 18." I repeated. He opened his mouth to say something but he decided not to.

"Are you really 18? I mean...are you sure?! 18??" He asked me again in disbelief. Duh...I know my age. I just nodded my head. He seemed to be in quite a shock .

"And apparently, you're 20...or older than that ..??" I trailed off.

"Umm...yea...I'm 24."

"24???!!!!!????" I yelled. That's like 1..2..3..4..5..6!! 6 years of difference!!!!. We both were shocked to believe what we heard from each other...

The rest of the driving went in silence.....
