46. A Crush On My Husband

JACK'S POV :

     Once the work for the day was done i drove the car to Aura's house as fast as possible.

I was late by 15 minutes and  I know she is going to kill me!

Once i parked the car, i began to make my steps up towards her apartment. Panting, i stood right in front of her doorstep and began to knock.

There were no sounds of footsteps that i could hear.

"Aura? Are you in there? " I begin to knock the door again but more harder.

" It's open!!! " I hear her voice from inside.

So i turned the door knob to unlock. As i walked in, i see Aura walking out of her bedroom swiftly and standing right infront of me with her hands crossed against her chest. Her silence and tapping of her feet against the floor was enough to tell that she was demanding an explanation for my lateness.

"Arghh... I'm sorry, okay! " i threw my hands in the air and decided to best apologise rather than giving an explanation for which she never was going to keep quiet.

As i walked across the hallway and sat down on the couch, throwing my mobile on the coffee table,Aura had her piercing gaze at me. She narrowed her eyes while i just shrugged my shoulders at her. After a few seconds she shook her head and sighed to sit next to me.

"Look, Belle has come back with something in her head. And i don't really trust Drake with his mind and head. He might say that he is very firm in his words but i know he is still very emotionally unstable. He was starting to get along with Ana really well and now Belle has entered the picture with something, which i feel is not going to be good. "

Though Aura has never been in touch with Drake from the day Belle left, her words seemed as if she had always watched over her friend from a distance.

I wouldn't disagree with her words though. Drake has always had a soft corner for his close ones. No matter what the person might have done to him, he forgives them very easily.

This was something which i never thought about.. Damn!  What if he ends up forgiving and falling for Belle, all over again?

I facepalmed myself for letting him to go meet her.

"He hasn't come back since yesterday. I'm starting to get worried. " with that Aura gets up and walks restlessly.
" I'm sure Belle has something so strong behind her that made her challenge you that she would get back Drake at any cost. "
Aura seemed so stressed that i could notice her repeating the same words again while walking up and down across the hall.

"Relax Aura. You're acting like his mom or something."  i tried to lighten up the mood. Atleast i thought i did, but instead i think i just added fuel to the already burning fire. Aura seemed like she was going to kill me any moment.

The same time my phone begins to ring. I see the caller Id. It was Ivy from work. I remembered telling her to call me if there was something important. As i reached the coffee table to pick my mobile,Aura comes running to snatch it away from me.

"Oh no, you're not attending the call!!"

But before she could get a hold of my mobile, i grabbed it immediately.

"Haha!! You missed it baby!! " i winked at her and tried to keep the phone out of her reach.

"Jack!! I think it's time you get serious about things in life and talk to the person who is infront of you rather than having your fun time with one of your girls!!" 

As Aura spoke she threw herself on me so she could get a hold of my mobile which kept ringing and i kept trying to hold it away from her.

"Aura!! It's not like what you thinking. Let me attend this call"
