48. A Crush On My Husband

ANASTASIA'S POV :

"Pass the keys. I want to ride back home. " i ask Aura at the end of the day.

She threw them to me which i caught perfectly.

" You better ride fast girl. I don't want you to ride like a snail. "
Aura said while i was putting on the helmet.

" Excuse me? You are the one who rides insanely fast. I ride at a very decent speed. Now hop on. "

As i was riding, it hit me that Drake had told me he might end up coming home late and that if it gets really late, he might as well stay at Jack's place.

"You missed the left, Ana. Take a turn." Aura shouts in my ears.

"No today i think, I'll stay at your place Aura. " i reply while accelerating.

" Huh??!! Why?? "Aura's sudden screech made me stop the vehicle abruptly.

" Aura!! " i shout back at her for making us almost fall.

" I mean you never told me that you wanted to stay at my place tonight. I m-mean why all of a sudden?" Aura was hesitating a lot while talking.

"Won't you allow me to come over for a sleepover at your place? "  i felt really hurt cause of her hesitation. " Do i have to give you a reason or ask for your permission everytime i come?"

"No Ana. No. I m-meant... I was just umm...worried about Drake. What about him? I mean have you eh...told him? " she asks me

"No it's just that i remembered Drake telling me this morning that he would be late tonight and if it's too late, he would spend the night at Jack's. So i thought why not we have a proper sisters get together and a great sleep over? And I'll just leave a message to Drake that I'm going to be at yours.  " i take a look at her and wait for a reply.

" Oh. " she looked blank." Oh! That sounds great.. "

" I know!!We are going to have so much fun. Just like the old times. " with that i took off to her apartment.

When we reached her apartment,i couldn't resist to notice two men in the dark standing in the parking. One of them looked really familiar but i wasn't sure who that person was.

" Aura look over there. " i point my finger at them so Aura could take a notice as well." Don't they look familiar? "

" Oh my God!! " i hear Aura whisper.

" what happened? " i asked Aura slowly not sure of why she was reacting like that.

" No nothing. Let's go. "she turned and pushed me towards the lift while she kept following me from behind.

" Umm.. Okay. " i agree and do as I'm told.

While Aura was pushing me from behind to walk fast, i heard someone running towards us. He kept calling for Aura.

" Aura, someone's calling you. " i tried to turn back at the person.

" Just keep walking. " she said gritting her teeth and nudged me to look in the front and walk.

" Aura!!! Why are you walking away?Drake and myself are waiting for you from a very long time!!" i hear the guy who speak real quick and began to pant with his hands on his knees.

"Jack? " i was so confused while i call out his name loudly.

"Oh-Oh" i hear Jack say while he lifted himself up to show his face.

His gaze kept shifting from me to Aura.

"What are you doing here? And where is Drake? "

I'm so confused now. What did Jack say in the beginning?
