"Talking of Ana....where is she?"

"Shower." I reply.

"Oh okay, cause I came over to talk to her only and inform her something." Jack shrugged his shoulders while telling me.

"What!?"

"Nuh-uh-huh! I shall tell only Ana!!"

He was acting exactly like the 10year old Jack and I rolled my eyes at his act.Then the topic kinda shifted to work and the reviews on the presentations, given by guests last night. when we were finally left with nothing to talk,silence took over us for a few minutes.

"So Drake...are you over everything? I mean..uh..you know what I mean." Jack asked me cautiously out of blue.

That one question was more than enough to pull me back to that horrific night.

"I'm so sorry Drake... Its all my fault.. I'm sorry...I'm so..sorry..."

Her apologies kept echoing in my ears and instantly I went numb.

"Drake??..... Bro??..." Jack shook me to get me out of my memories. When I was back to my present, I could feel warm liquid flowing down my cheeks. Immediately, I wiped them off.

"I'm sorry for reminding you about that man.." Jack placed his arms over my shoulders to comfort me ,clearly regretting his question.

"No,thats fine Jack. As far as the answer to your question..." I racked my brain to sequence my reply as best as possible. " I dunno man...But there is something that has changed since the day Ana stepped into my life. Its been a short while since Ana and myself are living together, but neva have those nightmares haunted me, umm.. except for once." I shrugged my shoulders while saying that. But Jack looked lost.

"When?"

"My wedding night,...dominos fellow.." I rolled my eyes while telling that. He knew what had happened so I just tried to give him the outline so he could catch.

"Oh yeah!! Oh yeah!! You spoilt your wedding night and.." He scowled at me "and took your very pretty car for a long drive or should I have to say, street racing all alone in that dark." He gave me his cold glare.

"Okay,okay chill. I know I should have called you along with me, that night!!"

"What? To race at 1 am or something? Die! I had rather enjoy my sleep over street racing!!" He scoffed at me.

I began to laugh.

"Or enjoy shagging with one of the girls than to street race with me." I gave the actual substitute and he turned red.

"Okay bro,you win!!"

"I always win.." With that I began to think about my statement. These few days with Ana,I have always lost. I have no clue about the number of times, I might have asked her sorry. But not in once have I felt bad because, she talking to me is more important than my ego.

"Ahhh Jack... With Ana around me, I'm always the old Drake. She makes me feel so good about myself. The relationship between us is taking its time, I guess. But its gonna be worth carving each and every moment perfectly. The thing is I always tend to mess it up without my own conscious and then I tend to realise,I'm just becoming too possessive and overprotective of her..." I sighed with regret and sadness evident in my voice.

"Its okay man. I'm sure,you will do fine... Did you tell her about-"

"No!" I snapped at that question immediately.

"And even-"

"Even Aura hasn't told her... I'm not even sure if I've to hide it from her...what if she just judges me and leaves me..."

"Hmm.." Is all Jack says and pats my shoulders to comfort me.

I know Jack isn't a person who fits in any emotional scene. He just can't get it right. But at least he is trying it for me and I begin to smile at my bestfriend's effort. I could see him shift uncomfortably on the couch so I decided to change the topic.

"Can you tell me at least now whatever you wanna tell Ana?" I know he won't reveal it to me but yet I ask.

" You know I'm not gonna tell." He says me lazily and walks over to the kitchen.

"Mmhmm... Your wife cooks some amazing pancakes man. Its so fucking tasty!!"

"I know!! She is a wonderful cook bro." I announce proudly at him.

"Woah,cool!! Don't be surprised if I visit your house too often." He said casually while licking his fingers.

"So Drakiee...are you falling for Mrs.Cooper?" He came back to settle himself on the couch.

Woa. I didn't expect that question at all. Thinking about her made me smile from ear to ear. She was beautiful even while she was angry...

"Eh... Drake are you blushing?"

"Shut up Jack!!" I turned my face away.

"Hahahaha!! Drakiee is feeling shy huh??"

"Jack,enough!!"

He was just enjoying this,like totally!

"Arghh...Jack, she isn't talking to me now man!!" He looked at me " I kinda messed it up yesterday....Long story but tell me what I gotta do to make her talk to me!!" I placed my head in my hands outta frustration.

"Probably do something she likes.."

"Umm... I don't know what she likes..." I was so embarrassed while telling that.

"Oh..." He racked his brain to help me "Or probably take her out for dinner, she might love it."

Hmm...that's sounds good.

"Fine I'll take her tomorrow." I clapped my hands in appreciation.

"I'm afraid you can't take her tomorrow man."

"Why not?"

"Cause-"

"Hey Jack!!" Ana came out of the room, dressed in shorts and a loose top. Her thin legs looked very catchy and her long tresses were still wet. Arghh.... I wish I could take her on bed,right away.

"Oh Hi Anastasia!!! Sup?" Jack got up to greet Ana while I just sat on the couch staring at her. I know she could feel my gaze.

"So Ana, do you know Joseph?" Jack asked her. She looked flushed,all of a sudden.

"Yeah..." She said slowly. "I met him at the party."

"Oh okay, cause he wants to talk to you about your work,I guess. Probably he was impressed with your meeting at the party."

"Oh,cool."

" He wants you to meet him tomorrow at the same hotel."

"Okay but I can meet him only in the evening."

"I'll let him know about it."

For a while we kept chatting. But I neva spoke to her, Jack was the one playing the role of a mediator.

"Fine then, guys. I shall take leave now." With that Jack bid us a good bye leaving us back alone,once again.
