21. A Crush On My Husband

While I was in the kitchen,my mobile began to beep with a text. It was from Aura.

'I hope you know, you have loads to explain me.' I could literally here Aura's elderly sister tone while I read her message. I began to read her text further.

'And hope you also know that the 1 week vacation which Morrison gave us,ends today. So see ya tomorrow at work.'

Oh damn!! If not for Aura,probably I would have forgotten about my work. This one week vacation has turned my life upside down.

I sent Aura a message thanking her for reminding me and promised her that I would let her know everything.

I placed my mobile aside and got back to my work. I see Drake coming out, dressed in casuals. No work? Oh yeah... Sunday!! So the entire 24 hours with me?? Arghhh...

Though I was concentrating on my work in the kitchen, I could feel Drake piercing his eyes into my soul. He came closer to me. But I kept moving away from him casually. Now I was in the hall, trying to arrange the cushions on the couch. He has come here also. Drake kept following me like the lamb from 'Mary Had A Little Lamb'.

At one particular point of time,Drake lost his Patience when we were back to the place where we started ; the kitchen.

"Okay,can we stop now? How long are you gonna take me around our house?" Drake stops while I continue to walk around the kitchen island. He pulls my arms and holds on it. Even before I could realise what was happening, he grabs my waist and places me on the kitchen island. I just stare at him in disbelief. I tried to get down but he comes to stand between my thighs and wrapped his arms around my waist pulling me closer to him.

I bent my head down to see nothing. I still didn't wanted to see him, the person whom I'm unsure of if he is cheating on me or not But he slowly places his forehead against mine. I didn't protest. I closed my eyes and breathed.

"God, I'm sorry Ana!! I'm sorry..."
I tried to forgive him but Joseph's words kept ringing in my ears...Drake-Violet...

"What do you want me to do Ana?" He whispers at me in despair.

"Tell me what you want me to do, I'll do it. Please just talk to me..." He holds my shoulders so he could see me. But I looked away so my tears won't fall.

"Yell at me!! Hit me!! Do something damnit!!!" He shouts and punches the kitchen platform hard. I was shocked to see him, hurt himself.

"What do you want me to do Drake? Forgive you?? Fine,you're forgiven." I said him calmly with my eyes fixed on his hands which now began to turn red and swell.

Drake looked sad and disappointed and moved away from me. He walked away to disappear from the kitchen. I was still sitting on the platform, now with my legs folded. How do I ask him if he has ever liked Violet or if he likes her? What will he think about me? He might end up thinking I'm a despo chick to keep her husband away from all the girls. But what if he is really cheating on me...

All of a sudden, I hear thudding noises. Like someone banging the walls. I immediately jump down the platform and walked towards the place where the sound is originating.

Jesus!!I was shocked to see what Drake was doing inside the bedroom. Shocked would be an understatement. I was more than horrified!! Drake kept punching the walls with his bare hands. What the hell is wrong with him? I gasped in horror. I run to him to stop him. Can't he fucking see that he is hurting himself?!!

"Drake!! Drake,stop it!!! Please!!" I tried to hold his wrist from hitting the wall again. When he sees me worried, he sighs heavily and falls down on his knees at the same place.

"Don't do this to me Ana... It hurts me more. You either run away from me else you don't talk to me at all. Tell me,what made you run away from the party? I know I shouldn't have left you all by your own. But work called me. So I had no other options left. But I did return back to see you... nowhere..."

Now is the time to ask him about Violet. He kept looking at me curiously for my reply while I was still holding his hands in mine.

"Umm...I didn't mind you going along with umm... Violet to solve some problem but people began to gossip around me that umm... you and ..she were eh..shared something more than professionally..." I raised to look at him but he nodded indicating me to continue.
"I mean I'm not possessive... about umm.. you... But I ..eh..it just hurts to hear all that..and plus they called me an escort girl. I was helpless..." My voice faded slowly. He sighed.

"Ana...I'm really sorry for what you had to go through at the party... I know I should have been with you but the thing is,the problem with the presentation was something only I could fix... Violet is my boss's daughter and my boss trusts me that I could enlighten her everything about the working of the company. I have never loved her,Ana and shall never, if that's what is bothering you... No Ana I've not loved ever since-" All of a sudden he stopped to look at his hands in mine. His knuckles were bleeding. He was bleeding. And our hands were wet with blood. Its then I lost myself. I gasped looking at the blood. I'm already hemophobic. I began to pant hard and asked him to stay right there before running to the washroom

DRAKE'S POV :

It was sucha relief that her concentration shifted from my words to my wound else I had to reveal everything...!!She looked so adorable when she gasped looking at my wound. Instantly the pain from my hand vanished. I could just sit there all day looking at her beautiful face forgetting all the pain in the world...

Ana is sucha sweet and a lovely girl. I have hurted her enough. I don't wanna hurt her with my past.
The words which Aura spoke to me yesterday when I had been there to pick Ana up began to scare me..

'Anastasia is a very innocent and a sensitive girl. She isn't like the girls like you have seen. You dare not think to hurt her. She will leave you and run away in case she finds out your past. I haven't told her and its none of my business. The only thing I mind is, my sister is living with you. Its killing me. Every time I see her innocent eyes,I wanna reveal your past. But when I see her talking about you, I can see that she is having a liking towards you. It pains me that she is liking a beast like you!!' Aura scowled at me while she said that. But I gotta be grateful that she had not told her anything about my past.

Should I tell Ana everything?? She will think I'm an animal in a human form. What if she runs away from me just like how Aura said? I would be fallen on the ground covered with dust, miserably. It hurts. My heart began to ache. I got myself up to head towards the bed. When I reached the bed and sat on it, I see Ana entering the room with a bowl of water and a first-aid kit. Her eyes were filled with concern and care for me....
Arghh...I'm so sorry Ana...
