58. A Crush On My Husband

ANASTASIA'S POV:

"Hey Ana! Look at Grace, she has something heavy on her!" Aura noticed me while i was walking towards her and Grace, who had been describing about something to Aura that she seemed really thrilled about.

"What?"

"I'm engaged!!" Grace turned to me and threw her arms around me.

"Wha-woaahhh!!" At first i was taken aback. I needed a little time to process what she meant in her shrill voice but when i caught her words, i was more than happy and excited for her.

I hugged her back, feeling elated than ever.

My best friend has finally proposed his girl. Issa did hint me here and there but i could not catch up to it with all the drama running in my very own life.

"I'm so happy for you guys!! Where is Issa?" i jump in joy asking her so i could go and find him to congratulate.

"Well.." Grace began to play with her hand as she started to get a little nervous. "... You know about Anushk's father right?.."

"Yes. Mr. Joseph? What about him?" Aura asked her.

But i knew just what the problem was.

"Oh.. Gracie.." i hugged her again to comfort her. "It will be fine. Issa will take care of it."

"Can someone explain what is going on to me as well?!" Aura felt isolated.

"Mr. Joseph knows about us and.. Well... He isn't happy about it. He doesn't want Anush to marry me. Joseph has always seen me as maid in a formal attire who assists his son. And so now he is disgusted about the idea of Anush and myself getting married..." Grace began explaining everything to Aura.

" Oh. So now what is Anush up to? " Aura asks Gracie.

" Well, he is away trying to convince his father about it right now..." Grace looked up at us to give a faded smile. 

"Then why worry? Come what may, your guy will  marry you, girl!!" Aura tried to lighten up Grace.

"Well, Aura is right Grace. Anushk has proposed you because he realises that all these years that he had with you was more than work & friendship that you guys shared. He loves you, Gracie. So never get low just because his father does not accept you into their family. He will get there gradually ." i winked at her, playing my part by revealing the truth.

Grace gave us the most beautiful smile. "You guys are the best!!" She hugged us both to show her gratitude. 

"When are the wedding bells ringing?" Aura asked Grace after we broke our hugs.

"Probably after two months.." Grace replied with a shy smile plastered all over her glowing face.

"Woah. We have very little time to get things done. We need to go shopping!!" Aura was excited than all of us.
Looking at her enthusiasm made us both giggle.

DRAKE'S POV:

"Bro, Did you talk to Anabelle yet?" Jack asked me while he munched on his snack across the table, inside  my cabin.

"Bro, I'm not able to get in touch with her. It's been more than a month."  i grumble as I send another mail to one of her email ids.

 "Hmm..." he ate the last chip in the packet and threw it in dustbin which was under my table.

"Ahhh..forget it!! I'll try calling her once again."  I shut my laptop to turn towards Jack who seemed conscious when all my attention was on him.
