CHAPTER 19: THE WEDDING DAY (PART 2)

**********

It was finally time to get ready for the wedding. Well it was actually time about half an hour ago but I had lost track of time. I was extremely excited to go with Ryan and most of all to eat cake, but what I was not looking forward to was getting ready for it.

The dress I had gotten was light pink and was fitted at the top, going a little away from my body as it went down with little designs that came around my sides. I quickly did my hair with a wand, forming it into beachy waves, then ran down my stairs after I was done. I frantically looked around for my shoes and keys not remembering where I had left them.

My phone started vibrating and I quickly ran over to the kitchen counter to answer it.

"Hello?"

"Hey sweetie are you almost ready?"

"Yeah mom I'm like already done ."

"Okay see you there, and make sure your dad drives safely!"

I hung up the phone only to have to immediately pick it up because my dad called me right after.

"I'm outside, come out when you're ready."

"Okay, coming!"

I grabbed my phone and keys and quickly ran outside of the house, locking it as soon as I ran out. Then to get to the car I ran across the grass but stopped because I felt the grass gently tickling my feet. Looking down at my bare feet I groaned throwing my head back. I put up a finger telling my dad to hold on and I went back to the front door to unlock it. Once unlocked, I went straight to the living room hoping the shoes would be there. To my luck they were. I quickly grabbed the heels and ran straight to the car, doing what I had just done, only with the shoes now in my hands.

**********

I was sitting next to Ryan waiting for the wedding to start. I leaned in close to him, so that I could talk to him without being heard by everyone who was sitting around.

"I'm boooooored."

He tilted his head at me and smiled, grabbing my hand at the same time. Music started playing and all you heard were shushes all around as everyone took their seats, trying to get their cameras ready. I looked at everyone's faces, some already looking as if they were about to cry.

Two by two, the wedding party started coming out and finally the bride. My head snapped to the groom to see his reaction. His face was actually shining, the smile on his face was what I had been waiting for, and he made no move to stop smiling. I could only hope that when I got married, my soon to be husband would be up there as happy as I had seen him. The happier the better. The bride finally made her way next to him. The rest of the wedding went as a wedding usually went. The bride cried, they said their vows, the bride cried some more, they kissed, she cried some more, and they finally were married.

I leaned my head on Ryan's shoulder, letting out a yawn. I had to start getting some more sleep. Ryan leaned his head on mine and then took it off. My eyes started closing and he poked my face.

"Don't go to sleep."

"You don't tell me how to live my life." I mumbled, a smile threatening to escape from my lips.

He chuckled softly. "C'mon let's go."

He picked my head up off his shoulder and stood up, while I was still sitting down. I made no attempt to move. I finally gave up, seeing as how he was just going to keep standing right in front of me until I got up. I stood up and walked with him outside. He walked me over to my dad's car and waited with me until my dad got to the car.
