Chapter 20 Twins are Born A New Age Begins

Three weeks after Hunter and Queen Verena had their little rump in the hay so to speak our little Queen let out a shriek in her sleep waking up the whole household. In a split second Wilda was by her side with her hand on her baby bump and another on her forehead speaking comforting words to her. Verena wakes up to a startle, attempting to sit up but failing miserably.

Wilda lifts the covers from her body and gently helps her from her prone position to a sitting one at the side of the bed just as a light knock is heard upon the bedroom door. “Enter” she says to whoever is on the other side of the door. It opens with a creaking sound. In walks Hunter, Camdon and Xandria all looking so concerned.

“Queen Verena are you all right we heard you clear across the house in our own bedrooms with the doors closed tight?” They all said quite in unison, questioning about the scream they heard just a few moments earlier.

“Yes it was just a reaction to the twins movement inside. It feels like they were having a battle of their own, and I felt a shock to my system. I let out a shrike of pain in response to it, without knowing I even did it, while I was sleeping” was her response.

“You know you do look like you are about to burst let me check you out” Xandria said as she laid a hand on her baby bump. “Ah ha just as I thought. Your almost due, we must get you to your doctor fast” Xandria said looking extremely concerned .

“There is no rush I am only 5 months pregnant I still have 4 more to go” The Queen said waving Xandria off dismissively with one hand while holding the small of her back with the other trying to stand up, failing and falling back to a seating position.

“Sweetie you don't have 4 months if you are luck you have like maybe one week left we need to get you to Germany to your doctor fast; you leave today. Wilda pack a bag for the Queen right away please” Xandria barked out orders.

“Yes your grace right away I will be ready to leave with my mistress the Queen in just a few minutes” Wilda said and she scurried around picking out clothes and folding them into a couple of suitcases, all the while Xandria, Hunter, and Camdon were by the Queens side talking to her and helping her up.

Xandria helped her into the bathroom so she could go take a shower before Wilda was there by her other side taking over for her. “Here let me do that for you I will help my mistress into the shower, then dry her off and help he into a nice loose fitting dress for the trip” Wilda said to Xandria. Xandria just nodded and headed out of the bathroom to the rest of the gang still waiting in the Queens bedroom.

“Hunter why don't you go call the pilot and have him ready the Queens jet for an immediate flight out of here back to Germany. Tell him it is an emergency run that he has to be here as fast as he can get here; the babies are on their way” Xandria gave the news out to Hunter and Camdon smiling the whole time.

“Is she that close to giving birth?” Camdon asked”

“Closer that she thinks. I am going with her on the plane just in case to stop the births if she goes into premature labor” Xandria said looking all worried this time.

A few moments passed and out walked the Queen in all her pregnant glory, hugh baby bump coming through the doorway first, wearing a simple green smock dress, totally loose fitting hanging down almost to the ground, with long sleeves with her crest on the left breast done up in gold, it was simple elegant baby wear.

They headed down into the kitchen to where Maria had been making breakfast ever since she first heard all the commotion going on. “I have your usual sitting right there on the counter for you Verena and I am making a small breakfast for everyone before you head out” Maria stated as Verena picked up her nice warm glass taking a sip.

“Thank you Maria your the best” She stated “Hunter you are in charge till we return If there are any problem call Blaine for help. OUCH” Queen Verena hit the floor in pain.

Xandria rushed over to her side, placed a hand upon her bump and sent calming sensations into the babies immediately calming them down along with Queen Verena. She lay there panting through her mouth her blue/violet eyes partly rolled back into her head, her heart beating fast. Xandria sends another wave through her body further calming her down seeing her relax finally. Xandria falls back against a cabinet door a bead of sweat beading appearing on her forehead, slowly trickling down her forehead,she wipes in with the back of her hand.

“That was too close for comfort” Xandria said wiping the sweat from her head. “Help me get her up and out to the plane and strapped in; it is time to leave now” They quickly lifted her up and carried her into the jet, strapped the Queen into a large comfortable seat for two then Xandria strapped herself next to her in the other seat, Wilda in the next seat on the side opposite them, then their bags were loaded. The Pilot entered the cabin said his hellos then proceeded to taxi out to the airstrip for a smooth takeoff.

6 ½ hours later they were landing in a privet airfield of the High Council with a waiting ambulance to transport the Queen, Xandria, and Wilda to the awaiting hospital. 28 hours later identical twins were born to the Queen under the doctors watchful eye. Xandria and Wilda helping with the delivery as well. Xandria was there sending out pain and stress reveling power to the Queen the whole time she was in labor.

Wilda was there to assist her in lifting her up and helping her when she needed to push when the doctor told her to push. All in all they were quit a team. In the end she gave birth to two beautiful black haired blue/violet eyed girls weighing in at 7 pounds 11 ounces. Identical twins in every way. The spitting image of her with Hunters smile and upturned lip at one corner just the cutest little girls so happy and healthy and the smallest little fangs you ever did see cooing so softly.

They placed one baby on Queen Verena's chest to suckle as they gave the other to Wilda who began to breast feed the second child, to say the Queen was shocked to see this was an understatement “Wilda what are you doing with my child? Breast feeding her I didn't know you could do that?”

“Yes you Highness it is one of my inbred talents something I grew up with that make me one of the most sauté out Ladies-in-waiting for my abilities to help out wherever needed which includes breastfeeding when necessary” She explained like it was something she was so proud of.

“I see ok well that can be very helpful in my line of work. Thank you for all you do for me” Queen Verena said to Wilda then turned to Xandria “Xandria I don't know where I would have been without you by my side these last couple of day. Thank you so much my dearest friend I love you so much” Queen Verena went on. “I am the luckiest woman alive to have such great friends by her side; like you all have been” A tear forming at her blue/violet eye shimmering down her cheek about to drip onto the baby she was holding at her breast.

Looking down at the baby she gave out a big sigh she was so happy seeing the twin girls now both at her side sleeping peacefully and contented. Everyone there looking on all smiling at the miracle of birth before them all. The last thing to do was to name them but that could wait till she spoke to Hunter and Camdon the next day on the phone to get their input for names. For now the only thing she needed was a good rest and time to recover as was the same for all of them.
