Chapter 36 The Master Teaches

The next morning after they were all rested from the flight back from Spain Camdon ushered them all out back to the garden area which they use for practice fighting and training.

They were all given plastic swords and instructed on proper hand placement, proper shoulder and body stance, footwork, swing and follow through.

First up are the twins Sabine and Liese standing facing each other Liese sword pointed out and down, Sabine up and over her shoulder in the strike ready position. Camdon shouts out. “Begin” they both set out Liese raising her sword in time to block the attacking Sabine's downward strike swinging it out in an ark spinning around to land a blow of her own to Sabine's back only to be blocked at the last minute.

Sabine knocks her sisters sword out of her hand bringing her sword to her neck ending this little display, much to the dismay of Liese who was wide eyed in surprise at her sisters quick movement. “Very good Sabine but you messed up several times your sister almost had you numerous times” He said pointing out a few of her mistakes to help her improve her foot work and body placement, arm swings, and sword holding.

“Blaine your up next front and center it's you and me this time” Camdon smiled grinning at the twins, “This should be interesting.” Sabine said. Blaine walked cautiously, ever so slowly, into the center, of the grassy area, plastic sword in hand, spinning it in a circle, round and round in one of her hands. “Fancy hand work Blaine want to show what you can do with that thing or do you just want to dance with it” Camdon was teasing Blaine edging Blaine on all the while Blaine had a smirk on her face never saying a word since walking out to the practice field.

“Begin” Blaine called out even though Camdon and she weren't in their rightful spots to begin fighting. Blaine jumped into the air swinging her sword around in an ark startling Camdon the first time. He caught it just in the nick of time behind his head with the hilt of his sword then with his other hand pushed Blaine back, she tumbled over and jumped back up to her feet ready to do battle again.

“Ah nice move Blaine striking when your opponent isn't expecting it” Camdon complemented her, then he tried to do the same thing to her, but with her speed she flitted out of Camdon's moving erratically. Camdon stopped for a second Blaine sped up behind Camdon striking again behind him. Camdon spun in time their swords met in the air, then the match started in earnest. First Blaine has the advantage, then Camdon almost taking Blaine down with a downward blow.

The final strike went to Camdon after over 30 minutes of fighting when Blaine spun around to jump kick Camdon and swing her sword at Camdon's head to land the final blow. Camdon was quicker knocking Blaine off balance at the last second causing her to fall to the grass on her back, then Camdon moved to place his sword at Blaine's neck ending their strenuous battle. “Great workout Blaine your pretty good with that but you still have room for improvement we will work on that this week while I am here” Camdon complemented her.

“Why don't we go inside for a few refreshments, then we can come back out and work with the twins on their training, you help Liese, I will help Sabine” Camdon suggested.

“That sounds like a plan” Blaine said.

“Me too I am kind of thirsty I wonder what Tamsin has planned for lunch for today?” Liese said to no one in particular.

“Girl you are always thinking about your stomach giggle” Sabine laughed at her sister then pulled her in tight embrace, throwing her arm over her shoulder guiding her into the manor. They are the best friends and loving sisters.
