We all went to this dark looking warehouse.

"Magnus' lair is right behind that fence." Jace pointed out.

"Magnus lives in a warehouse?" Clary asked.

"Not exactly. Warlock glamour." He said.

"Something's wrong. It's far too easy to get this close." Izzy said and we all looked around the place scanning for enemies.

"Looks pretty clear to me," I said. But then, we heard some stuff getting thrown to the floor. And a man holding up someone.

"Oh, God! Valentine found Magnus!" Clary said. Her eyes then darted towards to the little girl who was trying to wake her father up.

"Daddy! Daddy? Daddy, get up, please!" Clary went up to her. She wrapped her arms around the little girl, as turned around a demon was going to hurt them.

"Get the hell away from my best friend!" I swatted my blade and the demon disappears into thin air.

"Thanks," Clary smiled.

"Anytime." I then noticed another demon entering a room. I left Clary and went there. There, I saw a man that was about to attack Magnus, I threw my blade at it along with a few seraph dagger. Then, the man collapses to the floor.

Magnus seemed to be surprised by my skills. I took all of my weapons, and decided to hold my blade in my hand.

"Reminds me-"

"Tell me what you know." I said, pushing him to a wall while putting my seraph blade to his throat.

"Val, no!" I heard Jace, and the others entered the room, but that didn't stop me from what I was doing.

"You remind me so much of your mother Angela-"

"I don't need a pep talk from you. Spit what you know." I cut him off and he chuckled.

"Of course, and a bit of your father you got there." He said and I widened my eyes.

"My dad died in a car crash." I said, putting my blade away.

"Well, isn't that what they all say in cliché stories?" He asked. "Yes. You are true, the voices that you hear in your head, I was there, and so was your father. Your protection is wearing off, I remember your mother going to my place once a year to strengthen your protection, only to avoid this from happening to you. You know, hearing the voices." He explained and I raised my brow.

"So.. You were the voices in my head.. What promise did I make? And to whom? And why?"

"My dear Valerie, you made that promise to your father, to help him in a secret quest once your protection is wearing off."

I furrowed my brows together, I didn't know what to believe.

"Okay, just.. Why hide it from me? The memory?" I asked.

"Valerie, you are not Valerie Faye Castle." He started off. "But you are, Valerie Faye Morgenstern. Valentine's daughter."
