In which Valerie finds out that her whole life existence was to go on a secret quest that her father has assembled to in which herself has no clue about.
As an unidentified Shadowhunter, Valerie and the rest look for Jocelyn as well as finding Valer...
We were back at the institute, as soon as I walked in, I saw Ethan and Alec in the room. I looked down, not wanting to make any eye contact with Alec. He was looking at me, but I tried to not think of that too much.
"Holy shit you're okay," Ethan walked over to me and wrapped his arms around me. His eyes then darts over to Luke who placed Jocelyn in the infirmary.
Alec, Jace, Clary, Luke, and Jocelyn were in the infirmary.
"Hey, about earlier. I uh, I'm sorry, I wasn't quite sure why I called you that." He pulled away and I just nodded my head.
"It's okay," I said. Then, we heard Alec and Jace yelling to each other. I walked over to the infirmary with Ethan behind me.
"This isn't about Clary. This is about you." Alec said as Ethan and I entered the room.
"What about Clary?" I asked and I earned glances. I looked at Alec and realized that he was already looking at me with furrowed brows.
"I'm gonna go tell my sister that she still has a future." He said to Jace before walking away.

I was training in the other training room with Ethan. We trained for about an hour or so.
"Shit, now that's a train." I collapsed onto the floor. I looked at Ethan who was sitting down on a chair, staring at me with a small smile. "What." I asked.
"I don't know, you and your hair up, it's something." He said and I rolled my eyes. He gave me a hand for me to stand up.
"What's with you being all cute?" I asked as I put the weapons back.
"Did you just call me cute?" He asked and I looked at him weirdly.
"Acting cute doesn't mean you're cute, Ethan. Please," I said. He looked at me with the same smile. "Whatever, I'm taking a shower." I said.
"Without me?" He smirked and I threw my stick at him in which he caught perfectly. I turned away, trying to hide my smile. "Oh don't act like we've never done it before-"
"Goodbye Ethan." I said with a chuckle at the end. I went to my room and took a shower before heading to bed.

"Valerie! Let's move!" Clary bursted in my room and I groaned. After I got ready, I go outside and I saw flowers.

"Wow," I looked around. I saw Izzy walking up to me.
"Help. Yellow or this cobalt blue?" She asked me.
"Uh, the one with the um.. Blue." I said and she nodded her head in agreement. She then looked at me. "I'm alright." I said and she puts her hand on my shoulder.
"This is what my brother wants, I'm sorry Val." She said and I nodded my head. "So, the blue?" She said and I nodded my head.
I turned my head and saw Magnus.
"Magnus?" I said. He was sitting down on the chair.
"Remind me why we couldn't do this at my place? At least there we'd have cocktails." He said and Clary looked at him. I sat on the table while looking at the monitor screen.
"It's 9 in the morning." Clary said.
"Oh, it's happy hour somewhere, my dear." He said.
"And I could really use that happy hour." I said, eyes still on the monitor.
"Who is Ragnor Fell?" Clary asked.
"The former High Warlock of London." Jace said.
"And one of my oldest friends. Very prickly, likes to keep to himself."
"Okay, look.." They were talking about this Warlock, Ragnor Fell. I begin to think that Jace was actually my stepbrother. I was related to him, and so did Clary. Who knew a redhead, a brunette, and a blonde could be siblings?
I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard Alec's voice.
"What's going on here? Nobody told me about a meeting." Alec asked.
"Magnus figured out that Ragnor Fell is the warlock who can wake my mom. We're just bringing him back to the Institute." Clary said.
"How can I help?" He asked, totally trying to not make eye contact with me.
"We're just recovering a warlock, Alec. We got this covered." Jace said sternly. "Get ready. We leave in an hour. Val, you stay here-"
"Jace-"
"That's not a saying, that's a command." Jace cuts me off before walking away.
"Jace. Jace, slow down." Clary said as she walked over to him.
Lydia walked away and so did Izzy, leaving Alec and I alone. Magnus went to go open a portal or something like that.
I sighed before starting to walk, Izzy said I was in charge of flowers. As I started to walk, Alec caught my arm.
"I uh, just wanna say thank you, for giving the Cup to the Clave. Izzy wouldn't be free without you and Clary's help." He said and I pursed my lips together. "And I'm fully aware that you may need the Cup to save your mother, so thank you." He said and that caught my attention.
"You know about my mom?" I asked.
"Clary told me," He said and I nodded my head slowly while looking away.
"I should get back to work, the wedding wouldn't look pretty without flowers." I said and pulled off a smile, well it turned out to be a fake smile.
