FIVE : Catching the flu but not Pikachu

Okay, I am not one to follow trends and fads, but there was no excuse for what I was about to do.

I struggled to find my leopard print leggings while simultaneously putting on a white tank top. I've been feeling a bit sick for the past few days, stuck in my room with a sniffly nose, scratchy throat and to top it all off, a mild fever. But today, I didn't care, I shuffled awkwardly around the room finding every other leopard printed item of clothing that I owned, this went on for about five minutes and then I looked around, spotting a leopard printed piece of fabric with great potential of being what I was looking for under my bedside table, I bent down to get it, but was disappointed to see that it was actually a tank top and not my leggings.

gaaaaaaah! this is so frustrating

I gotta go easy on the leopard print. For a moment, I thought seriously, but burst out in laughter, "Psssh! Hahaha, as if!"

After what seemed like an eternity, and a mile's worth of tissue paper up my runny nose, I finally found them in the box of clean laundry I had in my closet. Which is where I should have looked in the first place. I smacked myself in the head. This flu was making my brain all fuzzy.

Finally, I was ready. I needed to go for a walk outside, in the Tennessee summer. With the flu. Why? I needed to catch some Pokemon.

Now listen, before anyone tries to diss Pokemon Go, just know that I was on top of the list of scoffers and pffft!-ers when I first got wind of this preposterous app.

My brothers were so into it and would beg me and my other sisters to take them out and go Pokemon catching. At first I just drove them around when I could, but then I got sucked into the Pokemon black hole and now here I am venturing off on my own because my brothers have schoolwork to do.

Hehe, perfect. All the rare Pokemons just for meeee! Okay, I may need some help. Whatever, I'm going.

"Hey, anyone home?" I yelled throughout the apartment as I closed the bedroom door behind me, I'd been in my room all day and Amy went out so I didn't know whether I was alone or not.

Christina's thundering voice answered, "Finally, you've rejoined the land of the living! Get in here, we're all in the living room!"

A bit annoyed that my hunting session was being delayed, I trudged on in to our bare living room, the only furniture being some lawn chairs, a tv and a beat up leather sofa we found in an antique shop.

As I walked in through the door jamb, I saw not three, but all five of my sisters sat in various places peppering the entirety of the living room.
"What's going on here?" I asked, surprised to see Dani and Lauren.

"Did you forget I scheduled the meeting slash rehearsal earlier today?"

What? Nooo! My precious Pokemons!
I thought, but instead I asked, "What? Why?"

Lauren sighed and replied without even looking up from her phone "Big Nick is coming over later."

I rolled my eyes, "Oh My Goooosh, tell Nick I hate him for ruining my life!"

Dani perked up, laughing " HAHAHA, THAT'S WHAT I SAID!"

Christina smiled while rolling her eyes. She knew we couldn't hate Nick, and we all understood that being in a long distance relationship was really tough, so we kind of cut Christina some slack when band stuff was moved around for Nick. But seriously, he just single-handedly ruined my Pokemon Go time. He owes me.

I exhaled deeply as I sat myself down on the floor next to Lauren. " Okay, so what have I missed?"

Dani answered, "We were just doing vocal warm-ups when you decided to show up, you slacker."

"I think she's good on that front," Amy said "She's been belting out a flu-y, raspy voiced version of Death of A Bachelor for the better part of three hours, which is why I left the room earlier. " she teased.

"THE DEEeeATHH of a BAAAAaaaChELooOooOooR!!! You love it and you know it." I said, laughing.

"Not the germs, I don't." Amy replied, sneakily disinfecting her hands with hand sanitizer from her purse.

"Guys, focus!" Christina said, snapping her fingers. " one... two... three."

I breathed in and stretched my mouth and all six of us united in one voice.

"guh guh guh GIH GIH GIH guh guh guuuuuuh!

guh guh guh GIH GIH GIH guh guh guuuuuuh!

guh guh guh GIH GIH GIH guh guh guuuuuuh!"

Yeah, really interesting stuff. I could be out catching a Hitmonchan or a Gastly or even a freaking Pikachu by now. Ugh.
