I heard a quick knock on the door, and Bee's head popped in.

"Grab your swimsuit we're going to the beach." She said in one fleeting motion as she ran out from hallway to hallway.

I got up from bed, a little confused. "Say what now? Where are we going?"

Christina went in through the door this time. "If you'd been to breakfast, you'd know that we're taking a beach trip today until tomorrow.."

Still confused, I jumped out of bed. Bad idea. I grimaced as the sharp pain radiated from my left knee. I rubbed the pain away, muttering to myself.

You're getting old, Lisa.

Christina took out a few items of clothing from her suitcase and ran out. I was alone again, but not for long, Amy thankfully came in.

"Amy! Please, would you tell me what's happening?" I implored, grabbing my sister by the shoulders.

"Ow, too tight!" She said, shrugging off my grip. "Since we're leaving in a few days, Bee's finally taking us on a beach outing.. she told us at breakfast, but mom and dad apparently already knew about it ages ago..." Amy remarked.

"Oh. Okay, how long do we have before we leave?" I asked, walking over to my pile of clothes by the dresser.

"Uh, " Amy looked at her phone, " twenty minutes?"

"WHAT?!"

I made my way past the front gate to where one of the two vans were parked, and I immediately caught a glimpse of Tony. He turned his head and did a double take when he saw me. By the look on his face, he didn't seem to like the expression on my face.

Good. Be afraid. Be very afraid

"H-hey, Lisa." He greeted, quite timidly, offering a cautious smile.

"Anthony, hello." I greeted back, my tone casual but loaded. "Will you be joining us today?"

Tony nodded, "Yeah, who else will fly the plane?" He asked, in a playful tone.

Now that caught me off guard, "What, we're flying? I thought we were just going to the beach?" All my coldness dissipating.

He was about to respond, but Amy butted in, shoving her bag in the passenger seat, "Anthony, is Lisa giving you a hard time?"

Tony looked at her, then at me and blanched, "No, no! Hahaha, erm.. no"

I gave him a sneaky smile, then quietly gave him the I'm watching you signal with my fingers and climbed into the van.

A half hour later, we were on board the plane and I was still pretty confused as to where we were going. So I sat in the La-Z Boy next to Bee's.

"Bug," I whispered, Bee had her eyes closed, her headphones leaking music that was playing from her phone. "Buuuug!" I yelled slightly, she jerked, her eyes opening and seeing me.

"What do you want, you goof?" She asked, putting away the headphones.

"Where the heck are you taking us?" I asked being very forward. "And please don't say the beach!"

Bee laughed, half laughing, half coughing, tears streamed down her eyes, "My uncle owns a resort on an island a bit southeast of Manila.. I thought I'd take you guys there as a goodbye gift." She ended on quite a serious note.

I looked at her, and she had a sad, longing look in her eyes, "Bee... don't say that."

She smiled, "You're right." she said, "We're supposed to be excited!" She stood up, "Beach fun, everybody! Who's readyyyy!?"

"YEEAAAAAAH!" screamed the boys, bouncing up and down.

"Gimme some sun babeeeh!" Dad said.

"Listen, I brought just enough sunscreen for ONE person." Amy.

I laughed, and heard the crackle of the intercomm,

"Good morning, everybody, this is your pilot, Anthony de la Merced speaking, with co-pilot Rey You-Already-Know-His-Last-Name. Please adhere to the fasten seatbelt sign and we will be ready to take off in two minutes. Destination, Catanduanes, a beautiful island facing the Pacific Ocean, famous for it's lush nature and world-class beaches. Estimated time of arrival is forty five minutes from the current time, eight forty eight in the A.M. Enjoy your flight and we will see you on the beach!"

"Here we go!" Kath said, sitting down on her chair and excitedly looking out the window.

"Try to relax, okay, Lise?" Bee told me as we settled down. "We'll have a good time."

I opened my mouth to say something, but then Nick interrupted, "HEY BUG! WHERE'D YOU HIDE THE CHOCOLATE MILK!?"

I rolled my eyes at Bee, finally starting to get into the groove of the trip.
