"Is everyone ready?" Mom asked handing us our microphones, Dad was still onstage setting up Amy's guitar and mike stand, I took a deep breath, and started psyching myself up.
"ALRIGHT, PRAYER TIME EVERYONE, LET'S GO!" Christina yelled over the noise of the roaring crowd.
We huddled up in a circle, Joey, Alex and Mom joined in as we held hands in prayer.
After the last Amen, we were all pretty pumped, this felt like a proper concert! A bit more chill, but no different from our tour in South America or Europe.
"Woooo! Let's do this!" Lisa screamed, pumping her hands up in the air.
"Let's make this an amazing night!" Amy added.
"LET'S CRUSH IT! CRUSH IT LIKE A CRUSHED PINEAPPLE!" said Dani.
"Okay! Play the track..." Christina directed the sound engineer who gave her a thumbs up. The first fee bars of Up at Night started playing and we walked on to the stage.
WRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!
"WHAT'S UP RENEGADE GIRLS! HOW ARE WE DOING TONIGHT?"
The crowd, albeit small made a massive, roaring response, despite being on stage countless times, my heart beat faster with every single step I made. I smiled back at all the young faces staring up at us with great joy and excitement.
"ARE WE GONNA ROCK THIS NIGHT?!"
WRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!!!!!!
I strummed my bass, and the crowd sang along with every word.
A few minutes after the concert, we were given a half-hour break before our meet and greet. I sat in the corner of the green room drinking a bottle of water.
"Guys, that was so special..." Christina said.
"I know, it was so amazing, I felt every single soul in there.." I said, slightly dazed from all the love.
"Omg, same..." Lauren told me " I think I could hear every voice singing along."
"They've got some mad vocals, too... to be completely honest." said Lisa, munching on a protein bar.
"Yeah, well, us Filipinos are known for our wicked karaoke skills.."
I turned around, and saw Bee walking in, her face flushed from cheering so loudly.
"Hey!" I said, giving her a hug, "I saw you right in the front, singing along. Did you like the concert?"
"Are you kidding me?" She said, hugging everyone, looking at all of us "You girls totally killed it, it was amazing! I'm surprised I didn't cry!" Bee said, laughing a little.
"A lot of people DID cry when we sang Worth the Fight.." Amy said.
"I cried too! Almost messed up the chords on my guitar!" Dani quipped
Lisa laughed, " It wouldn't be the first time."
"So Bee, are the girls happy?" Christina asked, taking off her makeup in the process.
Bee nodded solemnly. "You girls may have made their entire year. I guarantee you, they'll be talking about this forever. You literally changed their lives tonight."
We all smiled at each other. This is it. This is what we lived for. And I thank God everyday for giving us this chance.
"Alright, the meet and greet is all prepped, if you girls are ready." Mom suddenly said, her head popping in from the door.
