ADAM POV

"Last night was great" I smiled at Tori while taking her hand in mine. We were currently sitting on the roof of the building, talking without a care in the world. Luckily, we weren't as hungover as I thought. I missed times like these, just being able to have her at my side.

"Yup" she agreed. "Thank you so much for convincing me to come."

"Of course babe, you know it wouldn't be the same without you there."I took the water bottle next to me and took a sip.

"Really? It seems like lately you've been ignoring my presence a lot" she said. I noticed her smile turn into a frown along with the sadness clear in her voice.

"What do you mean?"

"Well, ever since you've been with Jay, I just felt like you were treating me differently. Whenever he was around I suddenly didn't exist. He shows up with tattoos, and suddenly you get a tattoo. And on top of that, you didn't even care about the fact that he was trying to flirt with me. He came into the hospital as an ass, and all of a sudden so were you" she explained, a mixture of hurt and anger in her voice.

I never even knew Tori felt this way. Fuck, she was right. I didn't even realize how much I've neglected Tori in front of Jay. I've done so much to finally be with her, and I didn't want to lose her. Again.

"I'm sorry Tori" I said while caressing her face. "I was just so happy about having a friend who wasn't psycho like Fred that I didn't even realize what his intentions were. But babe, no matter what's bothering you, I never want you to hesitate to tell me. If it bothers you that much, I'll just stop talking to Jay. Your the only one that matters, the only one that makes me complete."

I leaned into her face and slowly but passionately kissed her. She moved her arms around my neck and broke the kiss to hug me tightly. "I fucking love you Adam" she said while tears streamed down her face. Man I loved this girl so much. It wasn't until I heard someone cough that I pulled away from her.

"Sorry dude, I didn't mean to interrupt" Jay chuckled with his hands in the air.

Before Tori could stop me, I got up and forcefully connected my fist to his jaw. Jay stumbled backwards and fell, completely off guard.

"The fuck is wrong with you dude" he yelled in anger. "I was looking for Ariane and overhead your conversation about me. Yes I admit I did have a thing for Tori, but I was a prick for trying to get in between you guys. I already apologized to Tori last night, but I'm sorry Adam for letting my asshole ways influence you to neglect Tori. You guys are great together, and I really fucked up man" he lowered his head in shame.

"I'm sorry too man, I should've gave you a chance to explain instead of letting my anger get to me" I said. "But honestly, what caused the sudden change of heart?"

"I'm whipped bro. Ariane just makes me feel something that I can't help but hold on to. She makes me want to do better, to stop being such an ass. It scares me because after everything I've been through, I just shut down my emotions and don't really care about hurting anyone. But I really like her Adam, I just don't know if she'll still see me as a prick" he sighed, running through his hair.

He honestly did look defeated. Believe me, I know that feeling more than anything. Begging for forgiveness is hard, especially when that person is fixated on you being a certain way and not acknowledging the change you're willing to make to be a better person. That's what happened with Tori and I, but I'm happy at where we are now.

"Aww" said Tori and she began walking in our direction. "It seems like you really wanna change for Ariane. But as hard and tough as I am to crack, I forgave Adam because I saw his genuine and amazing personality shine through all his mistakes. So I think Ariane should be able to see how much you're willing to change for her. Just don't fuck it up, or else I'll kill you in your sleep" she smiled.

I really liked what I was seeing here. Just putting everything out there and being able to see Tori happy made me smile from ear to ear. We both saw how Jay really was, underneath that asshole persona of his.

I held Tori's waist as she rested her head on my shoulder.

"Thanks guys" Jay smiled. "Thank you for being honest and giving me a second chance. As for me, I'm gonna continue looking for Ariane. She's been avoiding me all day. Wish me luck" he chuckled nervously before running downstairs, back into the building.

Tori and I continued to sit down and talk about dumb shit.

"Hey babe, do you wanna see me do the water bottle challenge?" I suggested. She smirked at me, as if knowing I was going to fail.

I confidently got up and held the water bottle carefully, before throwing it up in the air. I eyed it as it fell back down. The bottle landed sideways, causing me to groan.

"It was probably because of the wind" I smirked playfully.

She laughed while pulling me down to sit next to her. She nervously bit her lip and looked me in the eye.

"Adam, can I ask you something?"

Fuck. This was never a good question. Her stare had me at a loss of words.

"Sure" I replied as my palms started getting sweaty.

"Where do you see us in the future? After we get released from the hospital?"

I gulped down hard. She noticed my eyes gaze elsewhere, and saw it as an opportunity to continue.

"I mean, we're both gonna have to do something with our lives. Like actually starting over in the real world." I noticed her shift awkwardly, signaling that she was growing uncomfortable. "It's okay though", I continued. "What matters is that we'll get through it."

"Together" she smiled while leaning her head on my chest. I wrapped my arm around her waist and held her in silence. This was one of those moments where I finally felt sanity again.

So we sat there on the roof of the building for what seemed like hours. I took time to adore her while the wind made her gorgeous hair glow. Suddenly, an idea popped in my mind. I quickly got up and grabbed her hand.

"What are you doing?" She asked. I chuckled lightly and carefully pulled her up.

"I want us to go somewhere. Me, you, Ariane, and Jay. As much as I love these moments with you, I want us to do something fun."

Her eyes widened in surprise. She took her hand in mine and we started making our way towards the exit. "Hell yeah" she exclaimed excitedly. "I don't know where we're going, but it sounds fun. Who knows, we might have a bit of fun ourselves afterwards" she smirked while grabbing my ass.

I don't know what it is with Tori, but she just loves grabbing my ass. I mean I do have a nice ass now that I think of it.

I chuckled once again as we went downstairs to her room. She even pinched my nipple in excitement.

I really do love this freak.
