Chapter Thirty-Seven

Chapter Thirty-Seven: The Order Of The Phoenix

"Oh my god." I cover my mouth and tears start falling. I sprint out the door and up the steps. I was about to turn the corner but I feel someone grab my ankle, pulling me down the steps.

"I got one! I got one!" I turn around and my heart just breaks again.

"How could you?" I murmur quietly and his jaw drops.

"Oh my god, Maddie I'm so sorry. If I knew it was y-"

"Good one, Malfoy! We caught one of the most important." Filch glared at me and took me by the collar, dragging me to Umbridge's office.

My life is just great. Harry probably ran, again.

"Well, well. Caught in the act?" she asks and lifts my head.

"Care to speak?" I shook my head and she swatted me with her wand, leaving a mark on my already bruised hand.

"Well, then I guess I have no choice but to use the Cruciatus Curse." I gasp and look at some of the Inquisitors in the corner. Their faces even shocked, and among them- Draco Malfoy.

"You-You can't do that." she smiled.

"I have no choice. Until you talk-"

"Crucio!" I screamed out in pain as the striking bolt hit through my chest.

"Stop, please!" I begged but she did it another time, this time for powerfully. I shrieked in horror as I heard the door unlatch.

"Stop, stop it!" Hermione screamed, causing Umbridge to stop. I laid on the floor, my cuts slightly bleeding. I looked at the blood and my head started spinning. The last thing I saw were gray eyes looking at me horrified.

"Madeline?" my vision blurred as I heard someone call.

"Madeline?" I heard the voice again.

"Umbridge is in the Forbidden Forest, Hermione led her there." I couldn't help but smile a little, but it soon fell as I remembered the course of events. Harry kissed Cho.

"How could you?" I asked with my raspy voice, my eyes staring into Harry's.

"Madeline, I can explain." I sighed.

"I think we need a break Harry." his face turned from worry to complete horror.

"W-what?"

"We need a break." I repeated, looking away as tears blocked my vision.

"Maddie, I-"

"Harry, you need to go." Hermione pushed Harry out of the room gently and Ron went with Harry. I cried into Hermione's shoulder as she was soon filled with the horror of the story.

Christmas Break

"Daddy's back." I smiled as I handed dad my gift. We all exchanged gifts and took a few pictures.

"To Harry, for whom I wouldn't be here without." he raised his glass.

"To Harry!" I whispered still not making eye contact. It has been really awkward between us and especially at home because he was always here.

"I don't understand why you don't wear it Ronald." I said, talking about his new Christmas sweater.

"'Cuz I look like a bloody idiot, that's why." Hermione and I laughed as Harry split off to talk to Sirius. I glad Harry has Sirius because he's all he has left.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still mad and we're on the not talking list but I still care about him.

"Mads, I am going to get Harry." Hermione peeked into the kitchen as I sat on my trunk out front.

"Ready?" I heard a voice behind me and I turned around. I stood up as Harry walked towards me.

"Can we still be friends?" I hesitated at the answer.

"Please? I miss what we had." I sigh and look away from his eyes.

"Fine." I feel the touch as he pulls me into a hug and I sighed.

Maddie, you are such a give-in.

"Oh god, I don't want to be back!" I groaned, remembering all the good times Umbridge and I had.

"I promise nothing will happen, if she does. She won't be remembering her abilities anytime soon!" Harry smiled flicking his wand around. I smiled and he pulled me into the car.

We all walked into the Great Hall together and sat down next to the Gryffindors. Seamus stopped Harry in the middle of the path.

"Attention students," the soggy voice said from the intercom. "new rule placed outside the Great Hall."

No no no, this can't be happening.

Dolores Umbridge has replaced Albus Dumbledore as Headmaster at Hogwarts.

All these characters belong to J.K. Rowling. All credit goes to her for some of the plot and all of setting (characters, etc.) I made Maddie Weasley, that is it. I am just a girl who wants to write fanfictions.

The only sane person left. Do you like this chapter? Again, just a slight mini filler.
