Chapter 22 - Reassurance and Reminition

Perrie's POV:

As I clean the remaining plastic dishes I think of ways we can get out of here, but it only takes moment's to realise I'm still out of ideas.

Ashton decided to eat some food tonight, which was a relief as he really needs to keep his strength up.

He managed to eat some cold soup we had in one of the cupboards, I imagine it tasted vile, but he didn't want anything else.

Putting the final dish on the side, I take off the plastic gloves and go sit with the others.

" I'm just going to go see how Jade is doing, she's not even eaten tonight" I say worriedly about my friend.

Luke suddenly lifts his head,
" She may just want some peace and quiet"

" Or, she may just want to vent. I'll be back in a moment" I say standing up from the table and walking to our room.

Opening the door, instead of being greeted by our usual chirpy Jade, I'm greeted by a girl with tears rolling down her face.

I shut the door and rush over, sitting beside her on the bed.

" Come here" I say, wrapping my arms around her as she cries onto my shoulder.

" I've messed up big time Pez" She sniffles, wiping her eyes.

" Babe, this accident was not your fault okay, you weren't even-"

Jade cuts off my sentance,
"It's not about the crash... I did something.... something I regret"

Now I'm slightly worried. What has she possibly done which is so tragic?

" I kissed Luke"

What? Oh so that's the thing she did that's tragic....WAIT SHE KISSED LUKE?!

" Wait, you kissed Luke?!" I whisper shout.

Jade puts her hands in the air, and lets them fall onto her lap.
" Yep...but it was a moment of madness"

Well that's one word for it. Madness.

" Well did you kiss him? Did he kiss you? What happened?!" I ask, wiping the mascara from under her eyes.

Jade stands from the bed and walks back and forth.
" He kissed me, when I was about to tell him I'm not interested....then I ended up kissing him back"

So she's just told me she tried to explain to Luke she doesn't want him, and then he pounced on her?

" Okay, I am going, to kill him" I say standing up.

Jade rushes towards me and pushes me back from the door.
" No!! Pez.... don't say anything. It was fun... I'd never do it again, but I didn't exactly throw him off me. Still I don't like Luke in that way"

She's so god damn weird. I don't even know what she wants right now.

" Fine. Just don't do it again. If you lead him on it's only going to end in tears" I say calmly, trying to come to a compromise.

" I'm not trying to lead him on. It was all unexpected...now come on there's no point sitting in here all night" Replies Jade, pulling my arm towards the door.

Oh the irony.

Michael's POV:

" You want to sit in there with us for a bit?" I ask Ash, who is still bed bound.

Ash shrugs,
" Yeah, but I feel too weak to move"

That was pretty insensitive of me to be honest. I know, instead of Ash coming to us, I'll force "us" to come to Ash.

I poke my head around the door and shout to the others who are sat around the table as usual.
" Come on guys, we can sit in here so Ash can join in too"

"Sure!" Smiles Leigh, getting up and walking past me into Ash's room, the others following behind.

Once we're all in the room, I shut the door and we all find somewhere to sit. Mainly the floor because there are hardly any chairs.

" Remember on the dinner date when Ash spilled spaghetti down his shirt" I laugh, trying to be positive.

Ashton sits up and protests,
" It was a fork malfunction...."

" Oh yeah right. What did it do jump out of your hand?" Smirks Jade.

Ashton can blame the fork all he wants, but we know it was a combination of nerves and butterfingers.

" Well then there was the time when I sorta exposed Luke's secret in the Jacuzzi" Laughs Calum.

" That was a drunken moment....it meant nothing" Adds Luke, patting Cal on the shoulder as if he's accepted an apology.

" To be fair, we were all smashed that night" Giggles Jesy.

We were. Then however that's partially our fault for getting shots out of the cupboard.

" We were literally in the Jacuzzi for 5 minutes too! The devastation was real" Says Perrie, pretending to be sad in a jokingly way.

I shake my head in disapproval and point and Luke and Jade,
" Well perhaps if these pair hadn't had ran off looking for swimsuits we could have used it longer!"

" What and sat in it wearing our clothes?" Says Perrie confused.

" Or not" Smirks Cal, gaining a smack in the arm from Leigh-Anne.

" That's a really bizzare thought Cal, I must add" Says Leigh, half in disgust, half in amusement.

To be fair she has a valid point, we've known eachother for little under a week and he goes and says something like that. Way to go Cal.

" So....who's sleeping where tonight?" Asks Ashton, now awake, no longer needing a baby sitter.

" We can sleep in pairs now I guess... there are 3 rooms to each pair, and if we want we can recline the seats at the front of the RV?" Says Perrie, quickly thinking of a plan.

Alright then. We decide tonight the beds can be taken by Perrie and Jade, Leigh and Jesy, Ashton and Luke, and then Cal and I can go in the reclining chairs.

I quickly pull a few blankets and pillows from out the cabinet beside Ashton's bed, before walking to the front of the RV with Cal behind me.
"Night guys".

I am replied to by numerous good night's from the others before I sit in the chair.

The glass in the front window hadn't smashed, but a huge crack has been engraved in the glass.

I recline it back and throw the sheet on my body and place the pillow behind my head, Calum imitating my exact moves.

All there is left to do now is go to sleep.

So basically now, I'm going to do a time jump 5 days ahead.

Mainly so then we can focus on how they're gonna escape rather than Ashton's injuries.
