Chapter 41 - Goodbyes

* TIME JUMP BY A WEEK *

Jesy's POV:

Pushing my remaining items into my suitcase, I zip it shut tightly.

Last night we got a call that we finally have a flight booked back to England so we can go home.

Even though America is a beautiful country, I think we're all ready to go home.

Ashton has been told he can leave the hospital tomorrow, but the management only managed to get a flight to Australia for them in two days.

So basically they've got to stay here for two more days whilst we go home.

We invited them to stay with us if they wanted, but I think they just want to head back to Australia. I don't blame them. We've been stuck with eachother for a month.

" God I hate suitcases sometimes" Groans Leigh, as she drags her case down the stairs.

" Don't we all Leigh" I add, as I pull my case along the room, and follow Leigh down the stairs.

Jade and Perrie are both waiting at the bottom of the stairs looking very smug. Mainly because they were on the second floor rather than the third, so they had to drag their cases down less stairs.

" You guys called a taxi?" Asks Leigh when we finally make it down.

Perrie nods,
" Yeah, and we called and paid for maintenance for the shower and air conditioning"

That's a relief I guess. We managed to break two of the appliances in two days...all we need now is to give the guy who rented us the demonic RV $70,000.

" Well then, let's go" Chirps Jade, pulling the door open and allowing us to leave the villa.

As we walk down the long path, I instantly remember the day we got here, and the laughs we had as we tried to open the gate.

When I called for help to realise the card was in the bag all along, and Jade and her STUPID BLOODY PARKA.

" Is it weird I'm going to miss this place?" Says Perrie suddenly.

Jade nearly chokes,
" Well considering on this trip we all nearly died....yes...yes it is"

Leigh scans the card across the scanner and the large gates open before us, and we are greeted by a taxi.

" Taxi for...uh...Little Mix?" Asks the driver, sounding slightly confused.

" Yeah" Smiles Perrie, as she drags her case to the back of the taxi.

Once our bags are all loaded in the taxi, we get inside and prepare to head off to the airport.

We said goodbye to the guys yesterday so we know for a fact they won't be turning up to wave us off, but we don't mind.

As we drive away from the Villa complex, I can't help but feel we're driving away from all the trauma we've dealt with over the past few weeks, and I feel a sense of closure and relief.

" I'm actually looking forward to the crap weather..." Says Leigh, looking bewildered over even saying that.

" Same" Respond Jade, Perrie and I at the same time, making us all exchange shocked glances.

Calum's POV:

" You sure it's the right time?" Asks Michael checking his phone.

Ashton nods enthusiastically,
" Definitely. Jade texted me all their flight information"

I can't believe we're doing this. Ashton decided that it'd be an adorable idea to surprise the girls at the airport, even though he'd been instructed to wait a few days in hospital.

" The staff are actually going to kill you when you get back...." Says Luke shaking his head, but a hint of mischief and deviousness in his eyes.

" It'll be worth it to say goodbye to the girls though. Who knows when we'll see them next" Adds Ashton, trying to shake off the negatives.

Fair play.

" Guys look!" I say excitedly, spotting our four friends walk through the glass doors of the entrance.

With that we rush over and scream "surpriseeeeee!!", which completely terrifies them all.

" Guys!!" Beams Jesy, who drops her bag and rushes over.

" What are you doing here?!" Asks Perrie, who has a huge grin plastered on her face.

" We couldn't leave without saying goodbye now Edwards" Smirks Luke, putting his arm on Perrie's shoulder.

Looking at the girls that happy makes me feel fairly good inside. It's nice to know that in just a few weeks we've managed to create such a great friendship with a bunch of random girls from England.

" Thankyou so much for coming Ash" Says Jade, who clings onto Ashton giving him the world's biggest hug.

Luke rolls his eyes,
" Christ Jade. You look up to him like he's a god or something"

There's a moment of silence and Jade raises an eyebrow at Luke before he smiles.

" Kidding" Laughs Luke, elbowing her lightly in the shoulder to indicate it was a joke.

We all laugh a little and say our goodbyes, however we know we'll have to let them go.

" I'm going to miss you so much. Remember to video call me soon yeah?" Says Jade, who then kisses Ashton.

" Of course. I'll talk to you soon. I love you" He responds as they pull apart.

Saying goodbyes is always pretty hard. It's going to be really unusual not having the girls around every moment of the day.

I feel like we've all become really close, however it's going to be so hard to meet up given the fact we live in different countries, and are either writing or touring.

Everyone exchanges hugs with everybody and then we all pull apart as they make their way to the check in desk.

We're not allowed to go any further inside, so once they've checked in, all we can simply do is wave when they walk further away, and out of sight.

" Well then. It's all over" Says Michael, sounding a bit relieved but a bit disappointed.

" Yeah, that seems to be the case. Come on! We've gotta get Ash back before all hell breaks loose!" I laugh quickly, realising how much shit we're going to be in when we get caught out.

So....Little Mix are off to England and 5SOS will be going back to Australia.

I'm getting so close to the end of this fanfiction it's making me quite sad 😭😭💗
