Chapter 28 - Water Fun

Jade's POV:

I sit on the floor beside Ashton and rest my head on the side of his bed while he sleeps. He's slept the whole day and night through.

I feel an intense feeling of guilt and sympathy, and wallow in sadness of why it had to be Ashton to go through all this pain.

I stroke my hand through his scraggly fringe, which is all messy from the heat of the RV, and brush it to the side, so that it reveals his face.

" Baby...what are you doing?" Mumbles Ashton, rolling over so that I can see his face fully.

" Nothing babe...I didn't mean to wake you.... just rest up. Your hair was in your face" I say gently, with a touch of humour, reminding myself of how scruffy he looked.

Ashton smirks slightly and before I know it he ruffles the front of my hair into a complete state before saying,
" Now yours is in your face"

Suddenly I feel all warm inside realising that Ashton can clearly see me as he could make out where I was sat.

" Ash! You can see me?!" I beam, shuffling closer and resting my arms on the bed.

" Looks like I can!" Replies Ashton, also realising himself, a huge grin creeping upon his face.

I wrap my arms around him happily, and Ashton pulls me closer and hugs me back tightly.

I feel a flood of relief and hope that I have the normal Ashton back.

" Go to sleep anyways, you need the rest" I smile, standing up, to head back into the main room.

" I'm sick of sleeping Jade, just come and lie with me for a while. I need the company" Moans Ashton, a look of boredom plastered on his face.

I turn around and give Ashton a stern look.

"Please?"

Finally giving in, I walk back up to Ashton's bed and hop on next to him.

Ashton wraps his arm around me, and holds me as we try to relax in the humidity of the RV.

" So....when we get 'outta here, what do you wanna do?" Asks Ashton, looking over at me with an eager expression on his face.

I give him a look,
" Err... we're getting you to hospital first"

Ashton rolls his eyes before smiling once more, making me feel genuinely ecstatic.

" Fine Thirlwall. After that though I'm taking you out somewhere. The only date we've been on was in front of a crummy, old, RV" Laughs Ashton sitting up and propping his pillow up.

I shuffle up with him and make myself comfortable.

" Erm, and our dinner date on the first night" I chuckle, remembering the stupid night out we had before renting the RV.

It scares me to think how long ago that was.....not very long. It feels like I've known the guys forever...when in reality it's only been a couple of weeks.

" I don't want to have to lose you once we leave Jade.... I'll miss you too much" Frowns Ashton, kissing me on the cheek.

I place my hands against Ashton's face and lean my head against his.
" You are not going to lose me Ashton. We're in this together. Right?"

Ashton nods his head against mine,
" Right"

Ashton's POV:

I can't believe I've got such a beautiful and caring person like Jade in my life. How did I end up landing Jade after all the shit I've caused.

After all the pain I put the girls through, she is still standing by me.

" Alright. I'm getting up now. I can't lie here any longer in this heat. There's a river outside right?" I ask Jade as I sit up from the bed.

Jade nods her head before giving me a puzzled expression.

" Wanna go for a swim?" I say enthusiastically, pulling out my torn backpack and getting a pair of shorts.

Jade shrugs,
" I have no swimming costume Ash"

I smirk and throw Jade my other pair of shorts and a shirt that is nowhere near her own size.

Once Jade has changed into my clothes I laugh looking at how cute she looks buried in my baggy shirt.

" Come here you idiot" I laugh, pulling the strings on the shorts to keep them in place.

" Your idiot" Smirks Jade wrapping her arms around my neck.

I kiss Jade's forehead before taking her by the hand and guiding her out of the RV and into the forest, with the river beneath the trees.

The water runs slowly and I step in, still holding Jade's hand, making sure she doesn't fall.

This is completely ironic, as I fall suddenly, dragging Jade down with me, landing us in the water with a huge 'SPLASH' .

Jade let's out a slight squeal as the cold water hits her in the face. I however accidentally swallow a mouthful from landing face first.

" I can't believe this" Laughs Jade, as she looks down at me, who is currently engulfed by river water.

" Surprisingly river is a good look for you beautiful" I say with a mischievous grin, looking at my now drenched girlfriend.

I stroke strands of her fringe from her eyes and place my hands on her face before we both share a passionate kiss.

I feel Jade smile on my lips, which makes me smile back, ending up with both of us smiling like lovesick school kids.

" You wanna go back inside....I mean...we sorta look a bit weird lying in a river" I chuckle, asking for Jade's opinion.

Jade shakes her head,
" Of course not, anyways, I'm lying on you, I'm not the one having a bath"

Hm.

I quickly flip over and laugh hysterically as Jade plunges into the river, now just as soaked as myself.

" ASHTON!!" Shouts Jade suddenly, leaping up from the cold water and onto my back, in a failed attempt to submerge me back in the river.

" Babe....that was appauling..." I say trying to act disappointed.

" Come on Irwin. I figured since I'm on your back, you might as well carry me back hey?" Jade says as if it's a suggestion, but clearly liking the idea.

" Hold on tight" I smile, before running back to the RV, with Jade laughing on my back.

I figured you lot needed a happy chapter after all the sad stuff so Jashton had a swim by the looks of it 😂😂

Plus I sorta had no ideas and I'm warming to this ship a little bit 😂

However I'm aware some of you hate it 😂😂 so I'll think of a plot twist lmao

Anyways I have exam results tmoz....ugh...

So if I don't post. Im either celebrating or crying. Or both
