Chapter 26 - Last Straw

Perrie's POV:

To make a long story short, we have near enough ran out of food, which is very concerning.

The reason it's concerning is because we have no idea if people are looking for us, and we genuinely have no food left. Apart from Luke's American candy .

" Might as well eat that to be honest" Says Luke, placing his sweet bag on the surface as if he's reading my mind.

" I think it's a necessity now" I say hopelessly, longing to be back home.

Luke sees the disappointment and sorrow in my eyes and places a comforting arm around me.
" We're gonna get out of here okay? Keep smiling"

I force a weak smile from Luke's slightly comforting words, even though I'm still slightly sketchy on him.

After what Jade told me a few days ago in our room, I can't make out what he's after anymore.

I divide the sweets up and begin handing them out to our miserable band mates who are all gathered around the booth.

" So this is it?" Asks Cal sounding slightly worried.

I nod my head, now accepting the fact we are out of food.
" Basically"

Calum looks down at the sweets in his hand and peels one open, before popping it into his mouth, guilt flashing in his eyes.

" You can have mine guys. I got us into this mess. If any of us deserve to suffer it's me" Says Ashton, pushing his sweets into the middle of the table.

Jade shoves them back at Ashton and stares at him deeply.
" No Ashton. You don't deserve to suffer. None of us do"

" Jade's right Ashton. It was a mistake. Everybody makes mistakes" Says Leigh in a comforting tone.

Ashton accepts the sweets glumly and takes a deep breath before eating one.

I get the vibe that everyone is feeling a sense of guilt through eating Luke's Disney candy. Not because they belong to Luke, but because we know we can't make it last and this is the last straw.

Not just for the food either. The water tank is basically empty.

" What are the odds 'ey" Smirks Michael, as if he finds it humourous given the fact we're in a situation this bad.

" Low....but somehow it happened to us" Says Jesy quietly.

Fair play to be honest. We came on a summer holiday to Florida to just chill out. Then we end up stuck in an RV in the middle of a ditch, and nobody knows where we are. Unlikely, people would say.

" Look. I'm not going to lie. There is nothing we can do now. We have to hope we get found" Says Luke gazing out of the window.

A few days ago I would have called Luke pathetic from saying this, but given the circumstances, how would we get back?

We could walk....but we'd have no food, no water, absolutely nothing. Also the hill we fell down is basically a cliff, we could climb it, but climbing it would be great difficulty, never mind lethal.

I see a tear roll down Jesy's cheek, and she quickly wipes it away.

Michael's POV:

" I wonder what our families are doing right now?" Says Ashton, scrolling through old text logs.

Luke chuckles sarcastically,
" Probably running around the place thinking where the f*ck are they"

" Yeah or thinking thank god they're gone" I laugh, obviously not meaning it, just for the purpose of the joke.

I gain a few laughs from the rest of the group, which is a relief, as I've been craving their laughter and smiles for the past few days.

When you're stuck in an RV surrounded by miserable people it really doesn't brighten the mood.

" What I'd do to be home right now" Says Jade being all sentimental.

Ashton nudges her slightly,
" Er...you wouldn't be with me now would ya?"

Jade smirks and kisses Ashton on his cheek,
" No I wouldn't. Let me rephrase that. What I'd do to be home right now with you guys"

Perrie chirps in,
" You guys wanna meet up back home sometime?"

I don't know whether Perrie remembers we live in Australia...but that's all brought up by Luke.

" You should come over to Australia some time" Says Luke with a grin, looking pretty excited over inviting the girls over when we get back.

" I think I've done my fair share of traveling. You can come to England" Smirks Perrie in return to Luke's invitation.

" Err... we've both just done two tours. Let's give it a month and then we can argue over who's flying where okay?" Laughs Cal.

Good call. I'm not in the mood for anymore flying for a while now. Especially after this whole excursion.

" Or we could go on another holiday together... preferably not Florida" Smirks Leigh.

" Yeah.....maybe Spain or something?" Adds Jesy, looking fond on the idea of travelling.

I don't tell them that Spain is basically an hour or two from England anyways, so it'd still defeat the object of us meeting up somewhere closer.

" Or Japan!!" Beams Perrie, clearly reminiscing on Little Mix's days in Japan.

I had a conversation with Leigh-Anne a few days ago about Japan, and she was telling me how much the girls love traveling there to perform and see their Japanese fans.

We went to Japan too on our recent tour, so I wouldn't mind going back one day either, and with Little Mix it'd be pretty cool.

" Even though we've been stuck here... I've enjoyed getting to know you girls" Says Calum suddenly, making the girls smile a little.

" It's been a pleasure being in the company of you guys too" Smiles Leigh, earning a nod of approval from the rest of the Little Mix girls.

Luke suddenly becomes stern,
" Guys you're acting as if we're gonna die here..... don't be saying goodbyes just yet...."

I rub my hand against my hair thinking about what Luke's just said.

I just assumed we were all being friendly, and I think the others did too. However, maybe we're all slightly losing hope.

We just don't realise it.

I'm not going to lie.... it's about to get real sad these next few chapters.

I didn't really intend for them to end up stranded and starving but by the looks of the way my fanfic is spiraling out to be?....

We'll have to wait and see I guess 😉😲

Anyways....on a lighter note.

ITS BEEN 5 YEARS OF LITTLE MIX. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT. I remember seeing them on TV aged 11 not realising how much they'd mean to me...AND NOW LOOK.

I'm writing fanfics about them .... that says something lol.

Anyways. Have a wonderful weekend and a wonderful 5 Year Little Mix Anniversary!!!
