Chapter 11 - Bright and Early

Calum's POV:

I shut my bag and zip it shut before taking a sigh of relief.

We've been packing for our roadtrip since 7am thanks to Ashton being determined to get us on the road.

To my horror the guys declared me in charge of clothing, Luke in charge of food, Michael in charge of anything electronic or important like money, and Ash.....well the boss of the situation.

" Guys I'm gonna go and pick up the RV so we can load it up" Shouts Ash up the stairs stuffing a cereal bar in his mouth at the same time.

" See you later" Shouts Luke who is fumbling through our messy cabinets and pulling food from the fridge.

" Luke do we even have a fridge on the RV?" Asks Michael, asking a fairly clever question.

Luke shrugs,
" According to Ash. Don't worry I'll bring some stuff that doesn't have to be refrigerated".

That's a good idea. The guy renting the RV is promoting it as if it is some sort of God like vehicle....or the spaceship from Star Wars or something.

" What are we doing on the road? Stopping at bars and stuff?" Asks Luke shutting the fridge.

" Nahh, it won't be fair on the guy driving" Says Michael coming downstairs with the locked safe filled with our wallets and phones.

He has a good point. It would be a bit harsh to go blow money on shots to leave one guy behind.

" Guys....you do know Little Mix are coming right?" Asks Mikey hesitantly.

An answer for that is....no. I know we spoke about it, but I genuinely thought it was a dude's roadtrip.

The look on Luke's face shows he agrees with me, but then he smiles a little and continues to pack the food bag.

" So what? The more people the more fun it will be" Smirks Luke.

" Don't do anything stupid Luke. We're on a break but we want to keep our band reputation decent" Says Michael a bit sterner than before.

Luke rolls his eyes,
" Geez. You guys act like I'm always irresponsible. I'm tired of it".

Just as the awkward silence waves over us, we here a tremendous "BEEP" from outside the villa.

" F*cking hell. What's he hired Optimus Prime?" I ask in confusion darting towards the door.

I am obviously mistaken as the ugliest RV on this earth glares back at me.

" Well....lets hope Little Mix like living it rough because that beast looks revolting" Says Mikey scrunching his nose.

" Isn't she great!?" Cries Ashton, beaming proudly at the RV.

There's a moment of silence,
" That's a she?" Asks Luke horrified at the sight of the truck.

Ashton's jaw drops at the fact Luke had clearly dissed the love of his life.

" Stop being mean. She's beautiful. Now come on let's get going. We have a lot of road to drive on" Shouts Ashton merrily about to stroll into the ancient vehicle.

" We have to wait for the girls" Says Luke stopping Ash in his tracks.

"Huh?" Asks Ash.

Jade's POV:

I place my bag at the door, before peering through the window to see whatever we're getting in.

" What....the heck....is that?" I ask the girls motioning them towards the window.

" A crime against all forms of travel" Says Jesy standing beside me.

I agree with her. The RV looks about 200 years old.

"Oh it could be worse...." Says Perrie cheerfully opening the front door.

"Let's go!" Beams Jesy leading the way as we all leave the villa, leaving me to shut the door behind us all.

Just as we're about to step on the 5SOS drive, I instantly remember the most important roadtrip essential.

" ME PARKA!!" I yelp, legging it back to our front door.

Opening the front door rapidly, I spot my beloved parka lying on the sofa, looking completely dejected.

I pick it up and leave our villa once more, all eyes on me, now content that me and the parka have been reunited.

" Come on then" Says Calum letting us all on board the RV.

" Wait hold up girls... what cha doing?" Asks Ashton coming from the back of the RV.

"Getting on the RV for the roadtrip we paid for?" Says Perrie in a confused tone.

Ashton pulls a confused glance before Michael explains he tried to tell him we were going.

" But there's barely room for four of us, never mind eight" Complains Ashton, now stressing out.

" Come on Ash, it's only a few days. Plus the more the merrier" Says Cal cheerfully.

Ashton shrugs,
" Whatever, all aboard girls".

I smile at Ash, to be rewarded with a smile back. Getting on the RV I look around, it's not as worse as the exterior.

I walk around and open a few doors to see 3 beds....double beds. Great. And by the looks of it, it's impossible to fit more than 2 people in a bed.

" There's a lack of bed guys" I shout, letting the others know.

Luke rushes to my side and peers through the doors and nods his head.
" Jade's right, every few nights we'll have to recline the seats at the front and take shifts"

Well that sounds like a fun sleeping arrangement if anyone asks me. Kidding.

Perrie walks over to me,
" Listen if you're having second thoughts we can just go back to the villa"

I look around the RV. Ashton's practically about to drive off and the guys look surprisingly pleased.

"Nahh it's alright" I say quietly, pulling my friend towards myself for a half hearted hug.

"Kay Jadey" Smiles Pez, as we both go and join Jesy and Leigh sat around the table with Calum and Luke.

" You excited?" Asks Cal, as we shuffle on the tightly packed seats.

I nod my head,
" Are we stopping off anywhere today?"

Luke and Cal exchange glances,
" Nope, we've been stuck all night. So if any of you have ideas...." says Luke hoping for a response.

Leigh turns to Luke,
" Well me and the girls were considering taking a trip to Disneyland?...."

Luke and Cal look at eachother and try to look pleased.

" Oh come on....you don't have to try and look tough in front of us" I smirk playfully punching Luke and Cal on their shoulders.

Luke rolls his eyes, a smile appearing on his face before saying,
" Ash, drive to Disneyland. We're meeting Mickey Mouse"

" What?!" Shouts Ash, now completely confused.

" Just drive you little s*it" Shouts Michael at the front with a laugh, contributing to the conversation.

Control yourself Jade.....we're on a trip to Disney.
