Chapter 29 - Revenge or Real?

Jesy's POV:

I smile through the window as Ashton charges towards the RV with Jade laughing her head off on his back.

It's nice to see some of us actually enjoying ourselves given the circumstances we're stuck in the middle of nowhere.

" Can you imagine what will happen when THIS gets put in the media" Chuckles Calum, who has now joined me.

" I imagine it'll have a mixed reaction, but I ship it" I say back cheerfully.

Once the whole "Jashton" thing gets announced there will definitely be opinions on them.

Mainly because of Ashton's fake relationship. People will probably find them pretty scandalous if they find out he's dating Jade.

On the other hand there's the Jashton shippers who will probably lose the plot and see it as a dream come true.

" Guys do we have any towels" Says a dripping wet Ashton as he enters the RV with Jade behind him.

Calum shakes his head and smiles,
" Seriously? Who would have brought a towel with them? Go check in the bathroom"

Ashton nods his head and rushes off to the bathroom to see if there are any towels in the cupboard.

" My god where have you been Jade?" Laughs Leigh at Jade in her baggy outfit and water glazing her skin.

Jade makes a sarcastic smirk,
" That river over there. It's a bit dirty...but then it really cools you down"

Leigh nods her head with a smile,
" I can see that babe"

Whilst Jade and Leigh have a natter about the lake, my mind drifts, and I'm suddenly thinking about Perrie and Luke.

I wonder what they're doing, and if they're okay. They left yesterday morning and now it's been longer than 24 hours.

A lot can happen in 24 hours, they left without food or water. They're basically winging it. Winging their life.

I just hope they have a phone signal wherever they are. That way they can atleast get help for themselves if anything goes wrong.

" Jesy? You're daydreaming?" Asks Michael who accompanies me.

" Yeah....it passes the time I guess" I respond to the messy haired guy sat beside me.

Michael looks at me in a serious stare, with a reassuring expression on his face.

" I know you're thinking of Perrie and Luke.... they'll be okay. Luke won't let anything happen to them" Whispers Michael keeping his voice low to avoid attention from the others.

" I hope so" I respond quietly.

If anything was to happen to them I don't know what I'd do. Perrie means so much to me, and obviously I'd be gutted if anything happened to Luke either. Especially now we've befriended him.

" However....they better hurry up like. I'm hungry as shit...." Grumbles Michael hanging his head.

I pull some of Luke's sweets from my pocket and offer them to Michael but he shakes his head, and pulls one from his own pocket.

" Nah.... I'm making them last Jesy. Buy thanks" He says, popping a sweet into his mouth.

Fair play to him. I've been doing the exact same thing.

Luke's POV:

Perrie and I trudge through the mud as the blazing heat scorches our backs.

" Man....I'm so thirsty" Says a breathless Perrie, wiping her brow which has turned clammy from the sun.

" Same.....my god. This heat is too much" I respond tiredly, feeling guilty that I have no water to give to her.

Perrie picks up her pace so that she's walking beside me, and I look over to check how she's doing.

The stretch of water beside us is further down as we seem to be on a steeper path. We could walk and drink from that but the risk of picking up bacteria is too risky.

" We can take a break if you want" I say calmly, the only reassurance I can actually give her.

Perrie shakes her head,
" No Luke...I can't let them wait any longer"

I nod my head. Even though I'm so tired, I don't want to have my friends waiting for an escape longer than they need to.

" Listen....about yesterday...." I say quietly.

Perrie cuts me off,
" Don't start Luke. All I ask is, do you actually like me in that way.... or was our 'fling' just to get back at Jade"

What? How does she know about my kiss with Jade? Is that what she's even on about?

" What do you...I don't-"

Perrie cuts me off instantly,
" Don't give me that Luke.... listen...I know you kissed Jade....do you like me in that way...or was it just revenge?"

I take a breath and gulp slowly. To be honest I don't know. I guess Perrie is beautiful, but I don't know if it was out of love or because we were both stuck in an RV at that time.

" I don't know how I've fell for you....I hated you Luke....but now?" Says Perrie, looking up at me.

" I guess love works in mysterious ways...at first I may have thought it was to get back at Jade....but now I don't know. " I say in shame.

Perrie pulls a sarcastic smile and shakes her head.

" Well where do we go from here? I don't know if we'll work now I've found out you used me to get back at my best friend" Scowls Perrie turning her face away from mine.

I say looking down at her in the hope she'll look up.

" The weird thing is....I think I'm falling for you Luke...." Replies Perrie, clearly shocked and confused about the whole ordeal herself.

I look down at the blonde who is walking beside me, and back up to the warm heat.

" I'm sorry for making you feel that way Perrie....but it was fun right?" I declare in the hope she'll believe me.

Perrie stops walking suddenly and looks at me before laughing.

" I guess so.....well.... considering it was in a bathroom" Smirks Perrie.

" Given the fact I'm romantic little shit I felt the bathroom was an appropriate location" I grin, clearly taking the piss out of the fact we did it in a bathroom.

Perrie stops smiling though for a brief moment and turns all serious again.
" So what do we do then....Jade and Leigh definitely knew we were... you know.... 'bonding' "

Perrie is right and to be honest I have no idea what we're going to do now.

" Well.... keep it on the down low for now. Obviously we'll know...and they'll have suspicions, but try to play it cool" I say, knowing we should probably keep it secret whilst we're here.

" I agree...the others may be pissed if we tell them that we were getting off in the toilets whilst Ashton's eyes were playing up" Says Perrie in a sort of sick humour.

Yeah that makes the whole ordeal sound a hell of a lot worse.

" Let's get out of here Perrie" I say with a slight laugh.

I can't believe it 2 C's, 4 B's and 3 A's !!! INSANE!!
