Chapter 39 - Movies and Calls

Leigh's POV:

" Well this is surprising. We actually made it to the villa and had no hassle unlocking the gates" I laugh, as we finally get inside the villa.

" Bloody hell. It's like a sauna in here" Gasps Perrie as the door shuts behind us.

I think it's safe to say that whilst on our dreaded RV excursion, we forgot about the fact we broke the air conditioning.

" They're gonna kill us" Says Jesy also realising about the A.C unit.

The first thing we do on entering the villa is collapse onto the massive couch.

" Okay....I'm thinking, movie and food" Says Perrie grabbing the TV remote.

I'd be surprised we she can actually work a TV now... it's been about four weeks since we saw one last.

" I'll get the blankets and pillows. You guys get some pyjamas on and we can have a full on sleepover" Beams Jesy, running up the stairs in a mad dart to raid the beds.

It's safe to say that we're all trying to act as normal and happy as possible. Hopefully the whole "sleepover" thing will take everyone's minds off the whole hospital thing.

" Want me to order pizza?" Asks Jade quietly from the sofa.

" Aye, go on then pet" Smiles Perrie raiding the fridge for drinks.

" Bonus! The management have refilled the cupboards and thrown out the old stuff" Beams Perrie, pulling chocolate from the cupboard and grinning like a child.

That's a relief. I'd hate to see the state of the fridge from everything we left open for four weeks.

I walk into my room and pull my pyjamas and slippers from my cabinet. I could have picked my fluffy ones... however it's already warm enough as it is.

" Okay. Guys I'm picking a Disney film. I need that sort of reassurance in my life right now" Says Jade, scrolling through the films available and settling on Aladdin.

" Why can I already tell this is going to become a Disney karaoke night?" Smirks Jesy placing drinks on the coffee table and sitting on the sofa with Perrie, Jade and I.

Jade hits play and instantly we are greeted with the fairytale-like Disney theme tune and introduction.

" So. When are we going home?" Asks Perrie, who is playing with her fingernails quietly as the film plays.

I look over and laugh at Perrie's last
comment.
" Bloody hell Pez. The film's only just started. That eager to leave are we?"

Jade nods,
" I am. I need home right now".

I frown and put my arm around my Geordie companion, who is clearly dwelling a little on Ashton.

" He's gonna be okay you know... Calum and Ashton. If it was seriously bad they'd have told us by now" I smile supportively.

" Really?"

Perrie nods her head,
" Of course. Try to think positive babe and watch the film. They'll be back before you know it"

Just as Perrie says this the doorbell rings. For a moment we all exchange really weirded out glances.

It's too good to be true surely. I stand from the sofa and answer the door. Our question has been answered, it is too good to be true. It's the pizza guy.

Jade's POV:

I pick up a slice of Pizza and take a bite as the film continues to roll. It's nearly finished and the girls have fallen asleep beside me.

It's fairly unusual to be honest, when we have sleepovers we usually stay up laughing until the early hours of the morning. Well...unless we genuinely want to sleep.

However I'm not surprised I'm awake, I love Disney films, there is Pizza left, and I can't stop thinking to myself.

I peer out of the window and see the darkness before me.

Carefully, I shuffle from under the blankets and leave the couch. I tiptoe across the room and pull back the door, to be hit by the warm American air, and shut the door to behind me.

The moon shines brightly on the sand outside of the villa, and I gaze up to the sky.

"If Ashton was awake, he'd be able to see the same moon from his window" I think to myself glumly.

I wish I could just write on it. Write him a message so that he could see it if he was awake.

The wind picks up slightly and the breeze blows my hair, making me shudder.

" It's ironic isn't it" Echoes a voice, which startles me.

Luke is perched against the wall of his villa.
" There was no breeze when we needed it in that stupid trash can"

I don't respond. I know he's right however. It's funny actually, we all ended up with heat stroke and now it decides to turn up.

" Listen Jade...I'm sorry" Says Luke calmly, his voice sounding slightly haunted.

" For what?" I ask, turning my head to see him staring right in my direction.

He moves from the wall and clings onto the mesh which separates our villas.

" For making you feel like shit. Just when things ease up, I say something to make it awkward. I hate it. I'm sorry" He says sadly, his voice becoming louder with every word he says.

I walk slowly towards him and stop, so that I'm not too close, but not too far.

" Luke, all I care about right now is that Cal and Ash make it back here" I say bluntly.

Luke nods his head,
" Yeah....same. Goodnight Jade"

I watch as he goes back inside the villa and shuts the door behind him.

I pace the floor for a moment before looking back up at the moonlit sky.

It's peaceful and content once again, but suddenly the serenity and calmness is disrupted by my phone ringtone.

The number is unknown, but still I pick it up thinking nothing of it.

" Hello. We're calling regarding your friend Ashton Irwin. He's awake and wants to see you" Speaks the voice down the line.

My heart starts to beat rapidly and I quickly open the door and dart through the villa, and out the other exit.

So... Ashton's awake yayyy!!!!

Just going to pre warn you guys. This fanfiction is going to end within the next few chapters😭💔

You don't understand how much I've loved writing this story and you guys are the best!

It will lead on to the sequel however, so it's not exactly over when it ends 😂💓

P.s I wrote like 3 chapters last night so you've got quite an updated week this week😂😂💗
