Chapter 7 - Dinner Date

Calum's POV:

I scan the menu and have a look at what there is to eat. For a second I feel uneasy as the first page is literally fancy foods like scallops and snails.

I suddenly feel a sense of relief turning the page to a variety of Pizza's. I decide on a ham and pineapple pizza, before I close the menu.

" Bloody hell, this place is fancy" laughs Jesy sipping some wine.

Luke chuckles before explaining about how Michael and I thought a pizza place would be a sensible idea.

" Pizza's amazing, we would have been happy either way to be honest" Says Jade indicating she's made up her mind by placing the menu shut on the table.

Luke shuffles in his seat and takes a large drink of his lager.

" We didn't know you guys drank much to be honest" Says Leigh-Anne with a grin.

Ashton shakes his head whilst smirking,
" Yeah. Everyone used to assume that. It was mainly from fanfictions. We'd much rather go down to a pub than take a moonlit stroll on a beach"

Jade frowns,
" Gutted Ash. That ruins our chances of making sandcastles at midnight".

She's clearly joking as she laughs also providing Ashton and the rest of us to have a laugh too.

Just as we are about to talk about Jade's joke the waitress comes over to ask what we want to eat.

" I'll have a steak please" Asks Luke as if he is boasting, before having a stretch.

Jade asks for a lasagne, Perrie asks for something sweet and sour, Jesy asks for a fancy chicken dish and Leigh asks for Nacho's with a side to go with it.

I didn't pay attention to what we got, Luke got steak and Ashton eventually chose spaghetti and Mikey and I chose pizza.

Well that was until Luke changed his order halfway through the night to Pizza. I knew he wouldn't resist.

" What are you guys doing later?" Asks Leigh as we make small talk and wait for the food to arrive.

I shrug,
" Dunno, going back to the villa probably. How about you girls?"

Before any of them have a chance to speak Luke chirps in,
" How about you join us?"

The girls exchange looks before nodding and shrugging their shoulders.
" Why not?" Smiles Jesy.

"Yeah it'd be cool to hang out. I mean we are neighbours" Grins Ash

Well. For four weeks. If we're going to live next door to eachother we might as well make an effort to become friends.

" Three pizzas?" Asks the waitress, holding up two Pepperoni's and one ham and pineapple.

As she places the pizza infront of me I want to eat it instantly. I decide to wait for the others, I can try to make a good enough impression right?

Perrie must realise that I'm holding back for the sake of the others as she says,
" Go for it Calum" With a smirk.

Well what can I say? I've been given permission.....time for food.

Jade's POV:

I smile as the waitress puts down the most delicious looking plate of lasagne down infront of me.

" I'm surprised you girls didn't get Pizza like these three here" Says Ashton who is clearly struggling to get his spaghetti onto his fork.

I pick up my knife and fork,
" Why not?"

Ashton smiles at the table and looks back up at us,
" Well after your enthusiasm over Pizza in the Hair video, I don't know, I just presumed you'd want it"

Perrie laughs,
" You were not at the shoot. We literally had one bite of it. Then they took it away"

I know for a fact Pez is lying to the guys. We ate one and we actually had to get more for the shoot.

I don't know why she said that to be honest, but it's sparking conversation, so I'm not going to say anything.

Calum looks up, looking completely shocked, before shaking his head.

" I would have told them to piss off, nobody can expect you to do a Pizza scene and then not eat it" Laughs Calum.

" It's not that easy Cal, you should know what it's like on sets" Says Luke taking a bite out of his Pizza.

Luke's right to be honest. The set is nothing like how people think it really is.

It's like on TV. Apparently when they use beer on TV and there is a drinking scene, they use fake beer as the actors will mess up their scene on purpose in order to get another drink. Fair play.

" Anyways you didn't get Pizza. You got pasta as well" I shoot back with a smirk.

Ashton nods his head and goes for another scoop of his spaghetti. Making a complete mess of it dropping several pieces down his jacket.

The boys laugh at Ashton and I pass him a napkin across the table.
" Thanks Jade".

For some reason I feel light butterflies when he says my name. I shake it off and eat some more of my lasagne.

" My god this food is fit" Says Jesy who is over the moon with her food.

"Fit?" Asks Michael.

" Yeah, fit" Laughs Jesy over exaggerating the word "fit" the second time she says it.

" Done!" Shouts Cal raising his fist into the air in all his glory.

" Bloody hell, what is this a competition?" Laughs Leigh.

Ashton sits up,
" Oooh here we go again, Little Mix quoting their own songs"

Leigh looks over at Perrie for indication at what Ash is speaking about.

" Ignore him Leigh. He's referring from a joke from earlier. You and Jesy were getting ready" Perrie says rolling her eyes, not sarcastically but with a smile.

Soon Luke, and Michael finish off their food, as do Perrie, Jesy, Leigh and I.

As for Ashton, most of his food is gone, but on the floor rather than in his mouth.

" Imagine if your girlfriend could see this Ashton..... she'd be horrified" Says Michael chucking more napkins over at him.

Suddenly I feel a wave of sadness flood over myself and once again I shake off the feeling and pull my bag out to get my purse.

" Jade you don't have to pay it's fine. It's on us guys" Says Luke generously pulling a handful of notes from his pocket and placing them on the table.

I want to protest but I can tell the guys won't let me.

" So. When do you want to go to the villa? Do you want to go to the club?" Asks Leigh.

Leigh and I have always been party animals. We've always got along well due to this.

" We don't know where they are, we can do it another day if you want? Once we've found them of course" Smiles Michael

" Sounds like a plan" Smiles Perrie.

As the money is placed onto the table, the waiter collects it, and we all pick up our bags to leave.

It is dark outside, but surprisingly warm. We start to head back to the 5SOS villa. Let's see where the night takes us I guess.

Now idk about you but why do I feel I'm creating some sort of love triangle? Idk but I like it. If you are all awaiting the "roadtrip" bit, it will be in a few chapters. I realise this is dragging a bit. But i don't want to rush it. 😂😂
