Chapter 25

I tell Zalfie all about school and my new friends.I feel like my life is perfect at the moment.In just so lucky.

"Jaspers coming round Saturday night too so your friends came meet them!"Zoe tells me.

"Yay!"I say.

"Time for you to get to bed!"Alfie says picking me up and tipping me over his shoulder.

"Let me go Alfie!"I say inbetween laughs.

He runs upstairs and throws me on my bed.

"Night little one!"Alfie says.

"Night da-Alfie!"I say almost saying dad.

What if he hated being called dad.What if I've messed up my chances for a life with them.

Alfie must see I was deep in thought.But he was smiling.

"It's alright call me dad when you're ready,"Alfie reassures me.

"Night dad your the best!"I say.

I fall asleep after few seconds.

The next day

I wake up and decide to get ready.I have a shower and get changed into my uniform.I put on some natural makeup and I'm ready.

I feed Patch and play with him for a while.He is just the cutest.

I walk downstairs to see Zoe already there.

"Morning!"Zoe says cheerfuly.

"Mornin!"I reply.

I make myself some toast sit down at the table.Me and Zoe talk for a while and then the doorbell goes.

"Hm is that Chloe?She's early,"I say getting up.

I answer the door with Nala at my heels.

I saw the person I least
expected......
My......Real......Parents.

"Hello Megan!I'm so happy to see you,"My real mum says

"W-what?"I say stunned.

"Hey Megs!Miss us?"My real dad asks.

"D-don't call me by my nickname,"I say.

Zoe walks and stands beside me with Alfie.

"How did you find us?"Alfie asks.

"Well...We tracked down yours and Megan's records for adoption,"My real dad asks.

"I-I thought you were d-dead,"I say with tears brimming in my eyes.

I bury my head in Alfie and give him a hug.

"We escaped and hid away for a while,"My real dad says.

"We want you to come home and live with us,"My real mum says.

"N-no,"I say.

"What did you just says Megan?"My real mum asks.

"No!I want to stay here!"I shout.

"How dare you!"My real dad says grabbing my arm.Which makes me scream.

"Let go of me!"I scream at them.

Alfie pulls me back and I hide behind Zalfie with Nala in my arms.

Then I see Chloe walk up the path to my house.

"I need to go,"I say pushing past my real parents.

Zoe followos me and says she will drive me to school today.
