I think I just found my favorite song of the series, "It's Over Isn't it?" Where Pearl sings out her feelings about Rose falling in love with Greg, and ultimately abandoning her. I'm gonna go all analyst on this song this wholesome is basically a soliloquy. It's pretty deep once you analyze it because Pearl has known Rose for over 1000 years. That's a long ass time, and we all know she had a sort of "thing" for her because of loyalty but also I think fusion. Fusing with Rose made her strong and it made her feel unique and wanted. Flashback to Pearl talking with Garnet in that one episode where she says she's "Just a Pearl" cause it's true, she feels she's too petty, dull, boring, and most of all weak. Even before with Rose. So now she's screaming her lungs out on how she feels, she's extremely lonely and she's admitting in this song how salty she is towards Greg. And then she mentions how she's gotta be there for her son, it's almost as if saying she's obliged to take care of Steven. Yet it doesn't at the same time, since she's not over Rose she's now sort sees Rose in Steven and she'll always feel this way. It's the same yet it's not the same.!Cause Rose fell in love with Greg and had a son with him leaving Pearl in a heartbeat even after all of those years spent together, and it's why she can't move on. I really love this song because of the story/message as well as that piano.
