So I made progress through the game. I made it out of the Third class deck before Junpei drowned to death, granted it took me a while. Literally the game started with an explosion. So I solved the puzzles, and the gameplay is very technical. Here's what I learned there's math involved, the game uses a thing called "digital codes" how they work is that you add 3 or 4 numbers to get a single number. Like for example 1+2+3=6. But if you get a double digit number like 7+8+9=24 then you add the two digits of the result in this case 2+4=6.
As for the plot these 9 random people got abducted by a guy in a mask who calls himself Zero. They were put on a ship which according to Zero is modeled after the Titanic and set up to sink. Now the contestants of the so called "Nonary game" have 9 hours to figure a way out of the sinking ship. That's not the only thing but there are also these doors painted with numbers in the game they can only go through 4 and 5. There are also rules for these doors. 3 or more people have to scan the numbers on their bracelets to get a digital code matching the number on the door. Only 3-5 people can enter a door at a time, in 9 seconds the door shuts. The players also have a bomb inside them, so in order to stop the detonation the 3 or more people who scanned themselves and entered have to find a thing called the "DEAD" to deactivate the bombs. Now all of the remaining players have to find a way out. Sounds confusing doesn't it?
There are segments in which you have to escape from a locked room. And that's where the gameplay comes in. You explore the room for clues ultimately putting them together and escaping, not only that but there are also mini games.
I've also met all of the characters 1-9 although 9 unfortunately get blown up due to breaking the rule of Zero's game.
I'm gonna go more into the characters later. But the main character of the game is Junpei or number 5 since he's the one narrating.
