"Good morning." I hear a familiar voice say as I walk into the kitchen.
"Jc? What are you doing here so early?" I ask.
"You do realize it's 1:00 in the afternoon right?" He questions.
"Oh. Whoops," I say through a laugh.
"Happy late birthday by the way."
"Oh thanks." I walk over to the coffee maker and pour myself a cup of coffee.
"Where's Erin and Ashley at?" I ask Jc.
"Erin's getting ready and Ashley left to go do something," he replies.
"Oh."
"So what's it like living with Ashley?"
"Not bad. She's a really sweet person. I do have to admit things were a little awkward between us when she first moved in, but we got over it."
"Well that's good," he says.
"Yup. How's Connor doing?" I decide to just throw the question at him.
"He's good. At times you can tell he gets a little down but he doesn't let it stop him."
"That's good. Do you think it would make things weird if I started dating Kian?" I ask Jc.
"Truthfully I don't really know. I mean, Connor knows nothing will ever happen between you two again, and I know for a fact that Connor and Kian won't let something like a relationship ruin their friendship. But yeah I guess it would be a little weird the first week or so but they'd get over it."
"Really?" I ask.
"Yeah they're to close to let anything break up their friendship. If you like Kian you should go for him. I know he really likes you he just doesn't want to make a move until he knows you're ready to move on completely from Connor."
"Thanks for the help Jc."
"No problem," he says with a smile.
"Do you mind giving him my number for me?" I ask.
"Yeah I'll give it to him." I jot down my phone number and fold the paper then hand it to Jc.
"Thanks I really appreciate it," I say.
I hear Erin start to walk down the steps.
"Well look who decided to finally wake up," Erin says looking down at me in my chair."
"I like sleep. Is there a problem with that?" I ask.
"No sir, not at all."
"So where are you guys going?" I ask.
"We aren't really sure yet. Just anywhere I guess," Erin says.
"Well sounds like fun," I say getting up from the table.
"What are you planning on doing today?" Erin asks.
"I don't really know. Probably just some shopping."
"Well have fun with that," Erin says sitting down next to Jc.
"Will do."
"Oh there's a beach party tonight that me and all the guys are having. You guys are invited and so is Ashley," Jc tells us.
"Sounds like fun!" I say.
"What time?" Erin asks.
"Starts around 7ish and it's the beach out back."
"Cool beans," I say. "Well I better go get ready. I'll see you guys later."
"Alrighty text me if you need me. Ashley said she should be back in about 20 minutes if you want her to go with you," Erin says.
