"I love you too," I say back to my mom as she gives me one last hug.
"Bye Annie!" My sister exclaims right before I hand the flight attendant my boarding pass. I board my flight and take my seat next to the window.
The intercom comes on and a mans deep cheery voices says, "Welcome aboard flight 234 to Los Angeles, California. We will be arriving in approximately four hours."
Excitement fills my stomach with butterflies. Finally. Finally my dream of moving to California is coming true. I pull out my laptop and decide to pass the time by watching O2L videos.
I choose a video and try my best not to laugh, apparently one slipped out though because the guy next to me gave me a really weird look.
Two hours left. Eventually I fall asleep. Soon enough I wake up to the plane landing on the runway with a thud. I quickly unbuckle my seatbelt and get off the plane. I start to look around for Erin no sign of her so far.
"Annniiieee!!!" I hear not to far away. Found her! I run over to her and she pulls me into a hug.
"I missed you!" I squeal into her hair.
"I missed you too!" she says back with just as much excitement.
"Let's go get your bags,"
"Okie dokie!" We walk over to baggage claim and grab my four oversized bags. Taking them out to her car was quite the struggle.
"Ready for your first day in Cali Annie?"
"Of course!" we've been planning to move to California since we were 14 it's always been our dream and now it's officially happening. Soon enough Erin's cute little Element pulls into the driveway of our huge house. Erin had come to California a month earlier with the money we saved over the years and decided upon this house only feet away from the perfectly golden sand of the beach.
I grab my bags from the trunk of the car and drag them inside. Almost instantly I drop them on the floor and run up to the room that we agreed would be mine. I slowly open the door to perfect aqua blue walls just as I had asked for. I walk to the middle of the room and turn to the window wall. The wall across from the bed has three large windows on it revealing a picture perfect view of the Pacific Ocean.
I flop down on my soft bed and close my eyes taking in everything that has just happened within the past six hours. A knock on the door pulls me out of my thoughts, before I can say anything it opens, "ready to hit the beach?" Erin says through her big grin.
