Me and Kian are sitting in my room the next night looking through the pictures.

"I have some good news," Kian says.

"And what might that be?" I ask as I look through some more pictures.

"I found you a job, if you want it," he says excitedly.

"A photography job?" I ask.

"Yeah!"

"You didn't!" I exclaim.

"Yup I did."

"How did you even get it?" I ask.

"My aunt works for a fashion magazine and they were looking for some new young photographers. I showed her some of your pictures and she loved them," he explains.

"Oh my gosh! Kian that's amazing!" I pull him into a hug.

"My aunt said she'd love to meet you, then she'll tell you when you can start."

"Kian this is seriously the greatest thing ever! I've wanted to be a photographer since I was like 12. Thank you so much," I say as I squeeze him tightly then kiss him.

"Here's my aunts number just tell her your name when you call her and she'll know exactly who you are." He quickly scratches down a number on a piece of paper then hands it to me. I take the paper then pin it on my bulletin board.

I sit back down on my bed and lean against Kian's shoulder.

"Kian," I say as I close my eyes.

"Yeah?" he asks as he flips through the pictures again.

"I love you."

"I love you too beautiful," he says.

I wake up the next morning to the sound of my alarm.

I quickly sit up and press the off button. Ugh I hate waking up early. I've got to do it if I want this job though.

Later on yesterday afternoon I called Kian's aunt and she told me to meet her at a restaurant called First Watch around 10:00.

I take a quick shower then put on a floral print cotton dress I'd gotten from Forever 21. I curl my hair then apply my makeup as perfectly as I can.

I grab my sample pictures. Some are from the photo shoot a few days ago and some from previous times I've taken pictures.

I slide a pair of brown sandal wedges on then grab my keys and leave.

"Hi, nice to meet you I'm Samantha Lawley," a tall woman says. She has almost identical features to Kian but with a more feminine touch.

"Hi, I'm Annie Koke," I say shaking her hand.

"Kian's told me all about you," she tells me with a smile.

"So what fashion magazine do you work for?" I ask, taking a seat.

"Kian didn't tell you?" She asks.

"No he didn't."

"Oh I'm the chief manager of photography for Teen Vogue," she says.

"Teen Vogue?" I question in shock.

"Yes Teen Vogue."

"And you want me to be a photographer for you?" I ask.

"Yes. You're young and it looks as though you know good fashion. You have the ability to move around and interact as you take photos, also your photography skills are exceptional. You're everything that the magazine is looking for," she says.

"Teen Vogue wants me?" I ask still in shock.

"Yes we would very much want you as a part of our photography team. Truthfully you'd fit into our modeling team as well."

At that point my jaw almost drops to the floor. This day could not get anymore better.

"Did you bring your sample shots?" she asks.

"Yes they're right here." I pull the photographs out of my bag and hand them to her.

She scans through them occasionally flipping back to certain ones.

"I really like this one of the two girls and the one of you and Kian," she says as she pulls those two from the pile.

"Thanks I did a photo shoot for Kian and his friends about two days ago. The two girls are my friends."

"So what inspired you to want to be a photographer?" she asks.

"Well when I see a picture I see a story. Such as the picture of my two friends. When I see that I think of being a teenager and letting loose and just having fun. Or when I see a picture if leaves changing color I think of being a kid again running through the changing leaves. I just wanted to be the one to capture those moments and inspire someone to make or think of their own story as they look at a picture that I took."

"That's very inspiring," she says.

"Thank you ma'am."

"So when would you like to start?" she asks.

"So I'm hired?" I question as my heart starts to race.

"Of course you are! Anyone who would turn you down is insane. We'd love to have you as a photographer," she tells me.

"This is amazing, thank you so much. I'd be happy to start whenever."

"Ok we'll see you at 9am Monday morning to start your photography training!" She says.

I stand from my seat, "Thank you again, I really appreciate this."

"It's no problem. I love finding kids with an amazing talent. Here's your sample shots. I'll see you on Monday," she says.

"Thanks again, bye." I shake her hand again then leave.

Excitement fills up inside of me. Not really knowing what to do I quickly call Kian.

The phone rings and he picks up on the fourth one.

"Hello?" He sounds half asleep.

"Did I wake you up?" I ask.

"Yeah but it's fine I needed to get up anyways. What's up?"

"I got the job!" I squeal through the phone.

"Oh my god that's great!"

"I know! Why didn't you tell me the magazine was Teen Vogue though!?"

"I wanted it to be a surprise," he says.

"Well it sure surprised me!" I say.

"So when do you start?" he asks.

"I have to be in at 9am Monday morning for photography training."

"That's cool. We need to celebrate tonight. I think this occasion calls for a visit to the Starbucks secret garden," he tells me.

"Ok, well I kinda got to call my mom and tell her the news so I'll talk to you later."

"Alright. Congratulations, I love you," he says.

"I love you too, bye."

"Bye," he says.

The line goes silent and I hang up. I quickly dial my moms phone number and wait for her to pick up as the phone taunts me with its ringing.
