"Wakeup sweetie," I hear Kian whisper into my ear. My eyes flutter open and I find him sitting on the edge of the bed next to me.

"I don't want to get up. I'm to tired," I say closing my eyes again.

"Come on you have to get up. You get out of the hospital today."

My eyes open back up. "That's today?!" I ask with excitement. This whole week of sitting in the hospital has been the longest week of my life.

"Yup that's today," he tells me.

"What time do I get out?"

"Sarah said they just need to run some final test which should only take about 2 hours, then we can leave." He informs.

"Yes!" I exclaim. I look around the room and notice something different. "Who are those from?" I ask pointing at a large bouquet of beautiful flowers.

"Oh those came last night I think there's a note," Kian say. He reaches gently into the flowers and retrieves it. "Here you go." He hands me it.

I read it out loud. "Dear Annie, we miss you and love you very much. I hope you get better soon, again I'm sorry we couldn't fly out to come and see you. Please stay safe and try not to get yourself hurt, we all know how you are." I laugh a little remembering the number of times I've tripped over my own feet and fallen. "Remember if you ever need us we're only a phone call away. Love, Mom and Dad."

I smile trying to keep myself from crying. Kian gives me a hug then kisses me on the forehead.

"Do you know what time they're supposed to do the tests?" I ask Kian.

"She said whenever you're ready."

"Alrighty, what time is it?" I ask.

"8:30."

"Ok you can tell her I'm ready." I say.

"Alright I'll go get her."

Seconds later Kian returns with Sarah.

"Ready miss Annie?" She asks.

"If it gets me out of here I'll do anything," I say with a laugh.

"Ok well let's get started."

I get tested for my breathing which turns out normal. My heart rate, blood pressure, and everything else is fine. Next is the cat scan to see how my concussion looks.

Sarah takes me into a room where the machine is and I lay down on the platform.

"Ok just stay as still as possible," she tells me.

The cat scan ends and the results take about 30 minutes to process.

I'm taken into a room where the doctor reviews my results with me. Everything seems to be healing perfectly well. The concussion is about 70% healed meaning I'm no longer on bed rest I just have to take it easy.

"You're ready to go!" Sarah says flashing me a smile.

Kian gets my things from my room and we make our way to his car. The morning air is refreshing.

We drive back to my house. Being closed up in a hospital room for two weeks sure makes you love being outside, that's for sure.

"And you're home," Kian says as we pull into the driveway.

I go inside and plop down on the couch. Man it feels good to be home. Kian follows with my flowers and the teddy bear he had given me earlier in the week.

"Where do you want these?" he asks.

"Just set them on the desk in my room. It's the first door on the right when you get upstairs." I tell him.

"Ok I'll be right back." I close my eyes and breath in the wonderful sents of the house.

"Hey good to see you're back home," Ashley says as she walks down the steps.

"It's good to be home," I say to her.

"You need anything?" she asks.

"No I'm fine."

"Ok." She walks to the kitchen and Kian returns.

"Why don't you go home," I say to Kian.

"Are you sure?" He questions.

"Yeah, go get some rest in a real bed. You've slept on a hospital couch for the past week."

He leans down and gives me a kiss. "I'll probably be over later, ok?" He says.

"Yeah that's fine. See you later."

He walks out the door. Ashley comes into the living room and sits down next to me on the couch.

"So how's everything going?" She asks.

"Good. I'm feeling a lot better. They said the concussion is 70% healed so I'm allowed to move around I just have to take it easy."

"Well that's good," she says sipping her coffee.

"Yup. Where's Erin?" I ask.

"I think she spent the night with Jc," she says nudging my elbow. We both laugh a little.

"Well I'm going to go take a shower so I will be back."

"Ok, just be carful," Ashley warns.

"I know, I know." I make my way upstairs.
