Darkness fills the room. No presence is felt. She was all alone standing unknowingly. She hears her own soft and slow breathing. All she heard was silence until, suddenly, voices started calling her name. They were audible and unrecognizable. She turns around looking at the direction were the voices were. Her hair flipping from her neck. She felt her heartbeat rise. She was alerted. The voices call her again. This time, they were somewhere in front of her. She turns again. Then the voices get louder. The directions kept changing; left, right, back, front. They weren't calling her anymore. They were screaming, crying, shouting and yelling things she couldn't understand. There were hundreds of voices. She then realizes the voices weren't around her but in her head. They get louder and louder every second. She breathes deeply and covers her ears but they didn't stop. Her knees drop on the ground and her grip tightens on her head. There were screams and cries of pain. They were so loud that it made her curve her toes and close her eyes tightly shut. She couldn't take it anymore. She breathes deeply and screams.
Lydia Martin washes her face
with water. It was warm and it started to relax her. It was only a nightmare. It was only 6:30pm when she woke up from it. It also wasn't the first nighmare she had that was like that. She's had many like that before that it's already starting to turn into a usual thing. Lydia is wearing a white tank top with white underwear underneath. Her slightly wavy strawberry blonde hair is hanging behind her. She's exhausted. She had just had a nap only for an hour and a half when the usual time was supposed to be three hours. She looks at the pale 5'3 female in front of her. It was her reflection. She takes a deep breath before her iPhone rang as it received a message. She picks it up reading the message. It said:Request granted? ;D
It's a text message from Hayden Romero, Lydia's best friend since the first grade even though Hayden is two years younger than her. The two of them still get along like sisters and their friendship has been healthy since ever.
Moving on, about the text, a Beacon Hills high school party has been thrown by one of the most popular kids in school, who Lydia hasn't met or doesn't know about, for their one-month spring break. Everyone from high school was coming but parties and a lot of people wasn't Lydia's type of thing that's why she kept saying no to Hayden for the tenth time and till now, she still asks her about it.
Lydia stood by the doorway of her bedroom as she read the message. She looked at her bedroom from her screen realizing that if she stayed home alone and slept for another few minutes, she probably might have another nightmare and hear more screams in her head. She thought about it for a second before she sighed giving up then replied to Hayden texting:
Request UNdenied -_-
The next thing Lydia knew, she was already in a pair of cotton jeans, a navy blue blouse, a white blazer and a pair of blue/white converse. She had some make-up on her face that were only enough to make it not so evident. Lydia left her hair down naturally brushing it a couple times before grabbing her purse that didn't have much in it. Only her iPhone, earphones and $200 were inside. Then she took her keys. Yes. 17-year-old Lydia Martin owned a car, a blue Toyota Yaris. She slid her tiny self inside it before heading to her destination which Hayden sent her.
After the 15-minute drive, she got close enough to the place. Their spring break party was being held in a house big enough to throw a party to a thousand and counting high school students. There were a lot of cars parked close to it. This popular kid must be pretty rich since he or she throws a spring break party every year when their break will only last for a month but it's pretty obvious this kid loves vacation so much.
Loud disco music plays and different colors flash from inside the house. You could already hear kids shouting and breaking furnitures. A bunch of kids were also outside since this house had a front and backyard. Some of them were playing lacrosse, baseball, others were drinking and sitting on the grass. Be together by Major Lazer plays and it's electric and loud beat surrounds the whole house as Lydia enters. Sure, she had been in a few parties in her high school life since Hayden always dragged her to them so that doesn't make her a newbie but she just wasn't into parties. She was already used to all the kids drinking here and there, taking drugs, making out, dirty dancing and even having sex in public.
