" The girls are in the house. Stiles, what's your twenty? "
Scott asked Stiles. He sat on the only room left on the couch and gestured Lydia to come over and sit on his lap. It made Lydia want to shrink right there in the middle of the party. GIRL, HE'S YOUR BOYFRIEND! Her subconscious reminded her. Lydia didn't know why but she weirdly felt uncomfortable about this situation. Her sitting on Scott's lap whilst Stiles sitting beside them and seeing the whole thing in front of him. It almost felt like Stiles was an ex-boyfriend and Scott was her new found lover. That sounded awful, she thought. But it was true. It was that kind of awkward feeling. What was she doing anyway? Why did she have to do this? Sitting on Scott's lap beside Stiles, it was an utterly unwelcoming thought in her mind. Before she knew it, she had done it. Remind me why this was part of the plan again?
Lydia could see at the corner of her eye that Stiles was eyeing her and Scott and he was shifting uncomfortably beside them. He was feeling it too. She was glad he was. She wasn't the only one and it made her flush right there in front of Scott receiving a weirded out look from her boyfriend.
" Theo's at the balcony. Malia's in the dancefloor, Hayden's around the corners and Allison's upstairs. " Stiles answered. Oh. He had been receiving their messages. Why not me? It pissed her off a bit that they didn't text her first. She was the alpha's girlfriend, after all. Dang, that sounded weirdly terrible. Maybe they just already knew that Stiles was with Scott in order to get their alpha informed. That also sounded pretty weird.
Her thoughts were interrupted when his eyes locked on hers but this time, the look he was giving her was almost like he was warning her about something or enlightening her that he wasn't pleased or that he was mad about something. It made her subconscious sit on a desk and wear glasses researching on anything she could find about that look. In return, she raised her eyebrows at him. Scott was pretty much watching them. She flushed even more between the two boys.
" Hi, Lydia. " Stiles said. Okay?
" Hi, Stiles. " Lydia replied dryly." Smile! "
All three looked and a camera flashed taking two to three pictures. They all grunted at the sudden flash of light and blinked their eyes a few times trying to adjust to their vision. Someone had taken pictures from them. As soon as Lydia could see enough, she looked around to see who had taken the picture but there was no one standing with a camera. She rolled her eyes and sighed in annoyance.
" Whoever took that picture needs to be sued and that picture has to be taken away. " Scott growled.
" Ugh, I hate it when people take stolen pictures. " Stiles commented. " They just don't have any other joy in life but laughing at people's stolen pictures. "
Lydia scoffed. " Tell me about it. "At the corner of her eye, Lydia could sew Stiles' satisfied smirk. It made the butterflies in her stomach flutter in joy. Lydia flushed looking down and biting her lip smiling at herself.
Scott exchanged looks at them. Oh, shit. Did he smell something, like a feeling? Did he hear her heartbeat that was obviously going to pop out of her chest any moment? Does Scott notice them too? He obviously does! Her subconscious yelled at her and she pushed her away in her thoughts. Lydia had a lot of questions in her mind at what was happening now. What was happening now? What the hell is the purpose of this sitting on the lap thing anyway?! Scott planned it. Was he trying to get Stiles jealous or show him what's his? Is he trying to tell Stiles what's rightfully his? Was Scott literally trying to win Lydia? Oh, darn.
