Oh, dear God. Help me! Her subconscious cried. The young strawberry blonde had been sitting by the window for hours now. Her left hand playing on the straw of her now empty milkshake. Her other hand had her chin on it. She had this look on her face like she was suffering. Because she was suffering! Yes. She did have lunch with him. She was moving her foot under the table with her crossed legs impatiently waiting for this moment to end. He had brought them to the closest dining place they could find. She thanked the lord that she at least got them a seat by the window. That way, she would distract herself from him.
Isaac and Lydia had already had lunch together by Isaac's money. The two of them had been sitting there and talking. Well, Isaac did most of it. Actually, he was the only one who was doing it. Ever since they got there, Lydia had been deadly quiet. She often rolled her eyes and scowled at him in response of everything he said. Isaac had been telling Lydia about all the things he had done and all the places he went to while he was out of town. He didn't even ask her anything about herself now. Lydia didn't care anyway. All she wanted right now was for Isaac to leave her alone. She really didn't wanna talk to him or interact with him or breathe the same air with him. Not after all he's done to her!
Finally, after almost three hours of Lahey talking, Lydia spoke.
" Isaac, I don't want us to date again. "
" Why not? "
" Do you really want me to dictate the list to you? "
" If you don't want us to date, how about a date with people? " Isaac said lighting up.
" Just what the fuck are you talking about, Isaac? "
" I'm talking about a group date! " He said sounding happy with his idea.
Lydia raised an eyebrow at him. Looking at him through her lashes. " A group date? Everyone you knew in town probably don't remember you anymore. Isaac, everyone's busy preparing for senior year. " she stated.
" I know and I've been telling you I won't just stay here in summer. I'm also gonna be here till senior year ends. " Isaac said trying to look at her with his eyes which Lydia kept looking away from.
Lydia's widened eyes darted to him. " You mean you're not leaving till before college? "
" Yeah, if that's how you put it. " Isaac answered furrowing his eyebrows. " You haven't been listening to me, have you? That's what I've been talking about for three hours. "
Lydia frowned at him. " You expect me to listen to you? Why do you expect me to want to do anything with you? You're not getting me back. "
" I'm not just trying to get you back, Lydia. I also came back here to apologize to you, you know. " Isaac said sounding small over the banshee.
" Well, guess what? Your apology is not accepted! " Lydia yelled.
" Lydia? "
Isaac and Lydia looked up to see who was interrupting their fight.
Scott and Stiles.
Lydia's face softened as soon as as she saw the two boys standing beside their table.
" May we help you? " Isaac asked looking at the two boys questionably.
Lydia as sitting there with her eyebrows raised and her throat try. She seemed to not find her voice to talk. Her subconscious hid not wanting to see this anymore.
" Um, Scott, Stiles, this is Isaac. Isaac, Scott and Stiles. " Lydia said introducing the boys together.
Stiles' expression changed as soon as Isaac's name escaped Lydia's mouth. He looked less approachable now.
