" Lydia. I said I'm okay. "
" YOU'RE LIMPING, STILES! "

The night seemed to have passed rather too quickly for it was already around at seven o'clock at night. Stiles' jeep was the exact reason of them getting late on going home. First, it took a bit of time with him taking a shower, then there was that small incident with the engine, Lydia hitting Stiles' knee, the 7Eleven and not to mention their banters on their way. Wow. All that just for driving Lydia home.

Now, Stiles and Lydia were once again bickering about the bruise on his knee being entirely not okay since Stiles had been limping back at the 7Eleven and he was also wincing back when Lydia was tying up his bruise. At the moment, they were now by Lydia's gate where Lydia asked him if he was gonna be okay and for the hundredth time, he claimed himself being okay. Actually, he was feeling okay except that his knee just hurt every time he stepped on his foot. But it wasn't that serious that Lydia had to ask her every five minutes if he was okay.

Stiles ignored her and before Lydia could stop him, he hopped off the jeep. Oh shit.

" Stiles! What the hell are you doing?! " she exclaimed and immediately got put the jeep after him trying to stop him but he had already stepped on the ground. He lightly grunted in pain as soon as his foot landed. The vibration passing to his knee.

Lydia got to him. " What are you trying to do? "

" Well, I wanted to open the door for you but it looks like you got it. " he said looking down at her.

Just to open my door? She thought and her subconscious started to do the tango. But she shook the thought away knowing that he should let his feet rest. But still, IT WASN'T THAT SERIOUS! Maybe she was just freaking out, she guessed.

Lydia's eyelids dropped halfway. She sighed frowning at him. " You really don't have to be such a gentleman, Stiles, just because I told you you needed to. Enough of this and go home. Your parents are probably wondering where you are right now. " she commanded. And it hella sounded like she was his mother. Stiles thought and it made him giggle. It was too adorable for Lydia to bare. Her face softened.

" Since when did you care so much about me? " Stiles asked and Lydia blushed but shook it off as soon as she rolled her eyes.

" You're right. I shouldn't care about you. Why would I? " she snapped.

Stiles' mischievous smile faded away and there were no other words to say.

" Thank you for that long torturous ride and goodnight. I'll see you at school. " Lydia bid farewell and without another word, went to her front door. Quickly fiddling with her keys, she slid one inside and turned entering her home and abandoning the older lone boy by her front gate.

Finally, their short and vexatious journey to her home was over. So, why don't we top it all? First of all, they bumped into each other earlier that day. Literally bumped. Then, she got paired with his very girlfriend for a partnership project in biology. Thirdly, she saw in his wet hot lacrosse outfit and then him wearing nothing but a towel wrapped around his waists. There was then that engine malfunction, the bump on his knee then the 7Eleven. All for Stiles driving Lydia home in one night.

She let out a huge sigh of relief as soon as she got inside her house. Luckily, the lights were off so that must mean that her parents could be out getting some stock or something or just doing their shifts? An idea then came in mind as she thought if he had left yet or not. Gently moving the curtain, she looked outside and luckily, his jeep had just drove off.
