She breathed out as she adjusted her foot behind. Some of her stubborn brownish yellow hair got caught up with her sweat. The pressure on her back thighs grew for she was wearing tight sporty shorts. Or maybe her butt was just inherently big. She smirked at herself at the thought in mind before she bent down slowly and focused her aim with the ball. Once again, she was doing the focusing thing even though she really didn't need it for no one ever overpowered her as team captain. Her eyes gazed on her right target. When she finally mathed everything out with her brain and all, her lips curled into a proud smile. Brown eyes flashed into very bright blue ones. Then, she pulled her weight up and jump as she striked.

It was Malia doing practice at volleyball. Yes. She was the captain of the volleyball team. Everyone, I mean, EVERYONE, from the other team was terrified of competing against her. She was so good that most of the girls she was against with the game would often fall off or miss to strike. Sometimes even, they would just dodge the ball from Malia for that knew it would be no use if they did. Malia had often been called to detention for hurting some of the players from the other team even though they knew she didn't mean it but they didn't know, sometimes, she just couldn't control it.

Now that a new semester had just started, Malia had just learned how to control her sportsman moves a bit. Only a little bit. At least. With the help of some of her teammates from the campfire the month before, she was able to improve her skills in a less painful way.

" Tate! "

Malia turned her head. Her shoulder-length ponytailed brownish blonde hair flipped only hitting the three-fourth of her neck. Her eyes had gotten back to normal. She had done it often. Flashing her normal eyes to her werecoyote ones without anyone looking.

The five-foot-eight female marched to her coach. " Yes, coach? " she asked rather joyfully.

Her female coach was looking down at the list of the team members. " You just got yourself a new opponent. "

Malia creased her eyebrows. " Uh, what? Are you saying it's a transferee? Pfft. That's gonna be easy as fuck. "

The coach popped her her lips making a thinking face. " I wouldn't say exactly. " said the coach before her eyes darted through Malia. " There she is right now. "

Malia followed the coach's eyes and saw a girl standing close to the other team. She looked like she was being greeted and welcomed with the other team members. The girl had beautiful wavy flat yellow hair tied in a ponytail. She looked like her height was somewhere around the middle fives. She wore really good make-up on her face. Although, it was light but still well put on. She was already wearing the other team's uniform T-shirt. And she also has these really bright colored and awesome rubber shoes which Malia envied so much. Based on her appearance where Malia was standing, she was really pretty.

The girl stopped paying attention to the team members and somehow, from Malia's close up vision, she could see the girls' eyes dart down slowly before her head turned and their eyes met. Malia knew it wasn't a big deal for her team to get a new member against them but the moment their eyes met, Malia already started to feel something strange tingling in her werecoyote senses and she knew her senses were trying to tell her there was something off about the girl especially when the girl have her this really creepy smirk on the face.

" Tate, meet Reyes. Erica Reyes. She'll be your new opponent for the day. " the coach said before she closed the list and blew on her whistle. " Alright, girls. Let's get back to the game! "

" Wait. For the day? Does that mean it's not official? "

" Well, based on the record here, its says it's Reyes' first day, obviously. She assigned two weeks ago. "
