My eyes were thick with sleeping dust  but I didn't take my eyes off my green polka dot suitcase. It sat in the middle of my empty room.
"Today me and you yeah? Sunday is fun-day so wanna go to Spain?" I joked around asking the suitcase. "Why yes Autumn I'd love to go to Spain!" I mimicked in a funny accent.
Normally on Sunday's I slept in,  but today I jumped out of bed and ran to brush my teeth and shower. I ran downstairs and messed around in the kitchen, playing with the utensils. I made pancakes for breakfast and posted a pic on Instagram with the caption " Spain day pancakes, will miss you in Spain but apparently there's no wifi. Ily!" I ate up the pancakes and dressed in a comfy pair of leggings and a turquoise shirt. I tied my hair in a top knot and ran back upstairs to my case.
I stuffed my travel bag on top and hauled the heavy case down the stairs. I pushed it it of the door and squeezed it into my small boot. It only just fit.
I locked up the doors and grabbed my phone before shoving my travel bag into the passenger seat and climbing in the car myself. I started the car and turned on the radio, singing along to all of the silly songs.
Thankfully there was no traffic and the sun shone perfectly, lighting up my road. I parked in the empty car park and grabbed my bag. I wrenched the suitcase out of the boot and locked the car.
"Till next week car!" I laughed skipping off into the entrance. I met up with lily and Sarah inside.
"Hey girls excited?" I asked as I sat next to them.
"Yeah so hyped!" Lily bounced in her chair.
"Agreed" Sarah giggled.
"It's a new adventure for all of us" I smiled. I waited and chatted excitedly, then Lee and Ben walked in, catching my eye.
"Hey guys ready to go?" Lee asked. We all nodded and as I stood up Lee helped me, grabbing my hand like a gentleman.
"Thank you" I smiled, hugging into him.
"So glad you were first on my guest list" he grinned, hugging me back.
He held my hand as we walked to the bus, and I tried not to get sweaty Palms as he pulled me up the steps of the bus.
Inside the bus was small with only three rows of seats on each side. I decided to sit at the back, either side of lily and Sarah. Being in the middle I could see everything, down the aisle and more. Lee sat in front of me opposite Ben, they chatted across the aisle.
"I'm so hyped! " lily giggled, bumping my arm repeatedly.
" me aswell, not for the twenty one hour drive though" I smiled.
"Yeah I haven't ever slept on a coach before, or anything like a car or train" Sarah nodded.
"Should be a laugh though, got ma girls" I placed my hand on each of their knees grinning.
"Hi guys my name is Charlie" we heard someone speak through a microphone. I looked in the Wing mirror at the driver, he had a square face, bony and scary looking. He had a thick head of jet black curly hair and his shiny white teeth seemed always gritted together. When he spoke he talked through his teeth and muttered everything quietly, but I decided I liked him.
"There aren't many rules on this coach except always have your seatbelt on. You should know anyway you're all adults, let's go!" He forced a smile and just like that we pulled away from the workplace.
"Bye" Lee waved, seatbelt obviously off as he was leaning over the seat edge.
"Yeah bye bye work, see you next week" I agreed, watching the dark, stone grey building disappear behind my window.
"I have my iPod with me, want to listen to music?" I asked.
"But there's three of us?" Lily asked confused.
"I have an earphone splitter" I giggled, plugging the device in.
For the next hour or so we jammed out, singing and coach dancing to the music. It was a perfect soundtrack to watching the American sights disappear in front of my eyes. California was such a beautiful place and I loved every bit of it.
It suddenly dawned on me that I had no idea how we were getting to Spain without leaving the minibus. I thought about asking Lee but I decided to relax just go with it.
Me, Sarah and lily all took our bottled drinks out at the same time.
"To a new adventure" I joked, knocking bottles with everyone. We all cheered and sipped out drinks as if they were alcoholic!
" woo party bus yeah! " lily shouted and we all fell about laughing. I was having so much fun I didn't even notice Lee staring at me, smiling, glint flashing in his eye.
Soon we pulled up into a small airport.
"California cargo airport" I read the sign in my head. The coach pulled up into a space and I wondered if we had to get off the bus now.
"Ok guys you've been amazing, but I have to leave now and go get you're long term drivers." Charlie hushed through the microphone.he stood up and walked down to the back of the minibus.
"Where are you lot going anyway?" He asked as he gathered his case and other items.
"SPAIN!" Me and Lee chorused. We looked at each other and smiled.
" sounds amazing, well have fun guys" he nodded before turning around and leaving the bus.
" I need the loo. Be back in a bit" Ben smiled before edging his way off the seats.
" wait I need to go to!" Sarah added, jumping over me and scrambling after Ben.
" I think she may have a thing for Ben" lily whispered in my ear.
" maybe, or she just could need the bog" I joked smiling at Lily's wide eyes.
"So beautiful, you excited for this adventure?"Lee spun around.
" hell yeah! Thank you so much" I smiled up at him.
" no problem, also on the last day I have another surprise for you" he beamed.
"really? Thanks you've done so much for me. Best flirty non boyfriend ever" I giggled, hinting that I wanted to hook up with him.
" totes, thank you beautiful for being so....damn sexy" he teased, flipping my hair over my shoulder.
" stop it you!" I laughed.
He dug me In the ribs.
" you know how i feel about tickles" I muttered, trying to keep a stern face.
" I do, I would like to apologise for tickling you Autumn, so irresponsible of me" he sighed head down. I fell about spluttering with laughter.
"There's never a dull moment with you is there Lee?" I teased, fluffing his hair over his head.
" you guys act like a married couple" lily sighed, staring out at the concrete.
" we're just discovering our love and what's there right now" Lee admitted more seriously. The fact he called it "love" made me really light up inside.
" ewww those toilets are like, so ....yuck!" Sarah came in with a grossed our expression painting her face.
" must just be a ladies toilet thing" Ben smiled, sitting back down. Sarah scrabbled back over me and plonked herself down.
" I'm so ready!" I squealed at the empty drivers seat. Why was it taking so long???
Suddenly the coach wobbled and on climbed two men. They were both short and fat. One was young with little brown hair flecks painting his head. He also had a small beard. The other was old and wrinkled. He had a little amount of stubbly grey hair left and a little grey moustache. Lee stood up as soon as they climbed on.
He ran up to the front and bro hugged the younger looking guy and shook hands with the older bloke.
"Guys this is my old mate Kyle, he helped me hook up this journey" Lee smiled pointing to the younger guy. "This is his dad phill, they're sharing shifts obviously" Lee circled the older guy with his hands.
He introduced everyone to the driver and saved me to last.
"Best till last, this is Autumn rivers. Lovely isn't she? My beautiful. By the way she was the reason we booked his trip. So I could treat her" Lee smugly smiled at me.
" you guys are-" Kyle began.
"No, friends with benefits, not together" Lee nodded before sitting down. I plugged in my seat belt.
The concrete passed underneath our tires as we turned the coach around and drove up a long road.
"Look an aeroplane!" Sara screamed loudly pointing to the sky.
"Omg so cool!"lily laughed, in awe of the giant aeroplane which looked  so different than any other that I had ridden in before.
"My beautiful" the words and lees smug smile played over and over again in my head. Was I really his? I wasn't beautiful but I wanted to be his! I realised how thirsty I was for him. The way he interrupted Kyle when he asked if we were together also played in my head. Didn't he love me enough to commit? I wasn't asking him to commit yet but we had already made out and he was acting like such a gentleman. He needed to make up his mind!
