The ones I cannot forget

As long as you're mine

I shivered in the cold night air and saw Lee, sitting on the curb. I smiled at him and he did the same. I went to sit next to him.
"Hey" I sat down.
"Hello beautiful" Lee stared into my eyes.
"Why am I here?" I asked, staring back a him. I looked straight into his bright blue ocean eyes. They were glittering, but the sparkle seemed dull for some reason and I couldn't think why.
"Where?" He asked innocently.
"On a curb, wish you at four in the morning" I said with a giggle.
"Good question" Lee cupped my face and looked as if he was about to cry.
"Somethings wrong?" I looked at him confused.
"Is there, what?"
"With you, you look sad"
"No" he looked away like I do when I tell a lie. "Nothing's wrong" he shifted awkwardly. I knew he was lying.
"Liar I know-"
" look autumn, I can't stop thinking about what happened last night" he interrupted me.
"Me too" I muttered shyly.
"I feel like, it was meant to be. I have never loved a girl like I loved you"
"Me too, I always mess up my relationships and you... You're different"
"How do you mess up a relationship when he cheats on you?" Lee laughed, but it was surely fake.
"Why would he cheat if there wasn't something wrong with me?" I asked.
"I don't know, but I love you" Lee leant in to kiss me, but he stopped.
"I'm happy, as long as you're mine" he kissed me, lips pressing hard against mine. I embraced him, rubbing my hands up his back.
"You're beautiful" Lee added pulling away.
"And you're handsome. I love you" something didn't feel right.
"Look I have something to tell you" Lee dropped my face and shuffled around, staring at the Spanish concrete awkwardly.
"What is it handsome?" I placed a supportive hand on his knee. He was there for mew hen I needed him the most, so I would be too.
"I...I.....don't worry" Lee shook his head.
"You can tell me anything, I've let you in and now it's your turn" I gave him a warms smile when he glanced up at me.
"No" he shook his head again.
" everything is ok, as long as you're mine remember"
"I wanted to say...I ...I ...I love you Autumn rivers for who you are"
"I love you too. You mean a lot to me you know. I don't let someone break my virginity just cause you know!" I smiled, even though he told me that last night.
"Well I have to go now" Lee faked a yawn and stood up.
"Me too" I lied, standing up too.
"Night beautiful" he tried hard to sound his usual self, but he couldn't"
"Goodnight Lee" I went inside and took my coat off. I sat on my bed and wanted to cry. I'd never seen Lee sad before, he was always so positive and upbeat about everything. Something was definitely wring, but I had to pretend it was all ok, to be strong for him. I was worried.
I missed Katie too, she hasn't texted me since the first day when we were arriving and I wondered if she was ok.
"I know you're probably busy but I miss you, I'm worried. I hope you're ok though" I then switched my phone off and settled in bed. It was half last four and I had till seven to sleep.
However I didn't end up sleeping till around six, I was worded about everyone.
"Beep beep beep" the alarm startled me and I sat up in bed.
"LEE!" I shouted grabbing my pillow. Then I remembered last night. I was going to try and be positive, for him.
I switched the alarm off and jumped in the shower. I did my makeup, brushed my teeth and got dressed, packing as I went along.
Soon we were standing at the door with our cases, ready to leave.
"I'll do the last check" I nodded, beginning ti walk into the bathroom. Everything looked so empty in there. Nothing. I walked into the bedroom and that was empty too.
"Yeah were all ready" I nodded as lily and Sarah started dragging their cases outside.
"Goodbye little cottage, I'll miss you" lily sighed as she stepped down the stairs.
"Yeah, bye bye our little Adobe" Sarah patted the side board. I sighed and stared around.
"Goodbye" I muttered. I grabbed my case and threw the keys on the door step before shutting the door tightly. I looked deeply at the pale green exterior and sighed again. I remembered running up to it in the first day, full of excitement.
"I want the green one!"I had shouted before Lee claimed the blue. I couldn't help starting to feel sombre about returning to my lonely house. I dropped the case where I had picked it up on the first day when phill knocked on my door.
"Morning ladies!" Phill chirped, he grabbed mine and Sarah's case. He walked off whistling s happy tune.
"Well someone is happy about leaving a place so beautiful jammed full of Fond memories." I growled to myself. Then I stopped. Reality check. "Be happy, for Lee" I took a deep breath and turned around. Lee was standing there with a case.
"Morning beautiful" he walked up to me. He definitely looked better than last night but something wasn't right still.
"morning Lee, sleep well" I asked, helping him drop the case next to Lily's.
"Not really" he sighed.
"Why?"
"Er... Things on the mind"
"Like what?" I asked, desperate to find out what was bothering him.
"The travel. It's just stressful. But everything will be ok?" He didn't seem so sure.
"Of course, as long as you're mine" I kissed him on the cheek and walked over to join lily. I watched Sarah kiss Ben, she flipped his hear about and he squeezed her bum.
"I'm the only one who hasn't had a Spanish romance, or broken my virginity" lily laughed jokingly.
"Well come back one day with a crush if yours.... That could turn out like mine and Sarah's" I teased.
"Oh shove off you" she laughed and gave me a friendly punch.
"Should we get to the bus? Phill and Luke are there already" Lee asked. We all a greed and followed him to the minibus. I was going to miss the tornado of dust wherever I stepped. Once the bus came into view I smiled. I still had a day with Lee left, even if it was cooped up on a minibus.
Phill was loading Lily's case into the carriage.
I watched him slam it shut as I climbed in. We sat in exactly the same seating plan as the way there.
"Are we all ready?" Kyle asked shyly.
"YES" we all chorused. The key turned in the ignition. We drove on.
"It's going to be so sad going home" Lee sighed, looking depressed.
"As long as you're mine" I patted his knee and he smiled gratefully.
"Thank you, I love you Autumn" he tried to kiss me again but something wasn't right. He only lightly touched my lips before pulling away. I pretended not to notice but i was super disappointed inside.
We watched the Spanish sights fly last our window and nuzzled into lily. I tried to figure out what was wrong with Lee, I was so unused to this. He couldn't be sad about me could he? We'd see each other again, just because he doesn't live next to me doesn't mean we couldn't go out in the evenings, and we worked in the same place!!  No that wasn't it. Maybe he was sad about leaving Spain? But he had family over here and came to visit so often... I couldn't figure it out and before I knew it I was asleep.
"Autumn, get up" Sarah was shaking me.
"What why?" I mumbled, sitting up. The minibus had stopped.
"We're at out breakfast stop" she soother as I unplugged my seatbelt.
"Right. How long was I asleep?" I asked, wiping sleeping crust out if my eyes.
"A long time, maybe two hours? " Sarah shocked me. I was feeling more refreshed, that could help me stay positive. After all, as I knew from experience, being tired and emotional was not fun at all.
Once I was in the Burger King I bought myself a Mountain Dew and sat down with Sarah and lily. Lily had a croissant and Sarah had three slices of toast with marmalade messily spread over them.
I had to figure out what was wrong with Lee, I needed a plan. As soon as I got back to the coach I would listen to him talking to Ben. Maybe he'd say something that would give me clues, or I might be able to pick up how he's acting. I couldn't look to obvious though, so I'd pretend I was a sleep. I was so proud of myself for thinking it up.
"As long as he's mine" i smiled, more reassured. I knew that this couldn't possibly be the end of me and Lee's fun and romantic moments.

Hi guys, it's me! How was this part? So Lee has something he isn't telling Autumn and let's just say.... She's very suspicious. What is Lee not telling Autumn?
